ACLU demands and gets ban on saying "God bless america" at school

if you were forced in school to vow to Vishnu would you be insulted?

I already said that it shouldn't be forced. My point was that the song is more about protecting the greatness of the country that we love and less about believing in God.

that is no the subject of his thread

what the ACLU did was help Americans have freedom of religion here

no one banned anything

people don't have to believe in the same religion here

It was just a question

Anyway thanks for the conversation but I need to go eat breakfast now and start packing up stuff to bring with me back to school.

Then just say God bless America and think of your God it's more leftist B.S.

so you are on the side of the people who want kids forced to say religious stuff hey don't believe?

I personally think its kindof sad that singing God Bless America even offends anybody, even people that don't believe in God. We all love our country and want what's best for it and so I guess I just dont get how someone could be mad about kids singing about that song. It shouldnt be mandatory or anything like that but its a nice song with a good message and so the fact that it actually upsets people is confusing to me.

But then you are a sensible person, who doesn't look for reasons to be offended so people will pay attention to you.
