I started a thread on this, but not many on any side were interested - but if you want to see the real deep state it's more than just the Fascists.

I wouldn't call Republicans "better" than the Marxists - just slightly less bad. Think of Republicans as a bad case of Hep C while democrats are full blow AIDS.

I recall nutjobs talking about the deep state before 9/11 and, IMO, goes back to the conspiracy theorist Military-Industrial Complex ideas. For Trump to steal and use the idea is ironic since the entire idea is that rich and powerful people control government which includes Trump himself.

  • This is actually a foolishly invalid point.
    The reality is that either BIDEN or TRUMP WAS going to win the 2020 election.

    More voters than just myself knew
    that Biden would be totally inadequate,
    but despite that debilitating inadequacy,

    if he didn't win,
    we'd get four more years [at minimum, assuming he was to live long enough] of Trump.

    Another Trump term would have been worse than the earth spontaneously combusting
    and all of us experiencing that kind of excruciating death.
    That's how all lucid, cogent, sane people felt about it.

    Biden has been noticeably less bad than that.

    For that reason, it's not only acceptable
    but virtually necessary to reference Trump in
    defending one's choice of Biden.

    This is not difficult for people of minimally adequate intelligence to understand.​
