ABC's reporters: Manchester jihad massacre “likely to inflame anti-Islamic sentiment”

How the fuck do you know I wasn't up in arms about the attack? I was one of the first to post that night, saying it was fucked and that I was a mess about it. I fucking cried. I think it was the worst thing that's happened in ages.

This thread is specifically about the backlash - it's the first time I've even brought it up.

You're disgusting. And, as usual, a liar. Fuck you, Yurt.

You cried about the little girl massacre in England?

So, a law abiding father & husband who works his ass off to run his own business, and then sees that business vandalized because of this lunatic - we're not allowed to talk about that or sympathize w/ that guy?

Seriously?

are you more concerned about what may happen or what has already happened?......

Are you serious?

Every time there is a major incident like this, vandalism against Muslims spikes, as does harassment and bullying.

But it's okay. They're just a bunch of stinkin' Muslims.
no..that's a disproven meme..i'm sure it happens, but not "spikes"I have to go online and take RedNose charity calls,or id look it up for you.
Besides it's such a shitty focus for these 'newspeople' it's bizare

You didn't post as vehemently against the attack as you have this. Just look at your responses to me. You're as much, maybe more, upset over some potential backlash. When the blacks have backlash against the white police, do you say anything? But what I've seen from your posts are that you always come to the defense of Muslims for potential or actual backlash after their brethren kill innocent people.

It is not just one post, that would be acceptable and I would agree. But you go all out against the backlash, much more so than the actual attack.

Sorry if the truth hurts, but maybe you need some inner reflection. I'm not trolling you, I'm pointing out what I see from your posts. I can't read your mind or see what you do (crying), I can only read your posts. If my observations are not true, then explain why and I will recant.

You fucking asshole. My "upset" is about you lying about me - it's not about the backlash. You claim I'm all "up in arms" - I posted reasonably at the start of this thread, which - coincidentally - is about the BACKLASH.

Don't bring racial shit into this. It's fucking despicable of you to lie about how I feel about this situation. My feelings about the incident are tenfold compared to the backlash - but condemnation of the backlash is still allowable. I can chew gum & walk at the same time.

As I said, I posted MORE vehemently on the night of the attack, and since. This is just something you're making up, with no knowledge at all.

Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. You are a fucking terrible individual to say that, and you really need help.

It is bizarre and totally predictable.

What they call a 'spike' is probably a single digit increase in anti-Muslim incidents over the course of a month. Not to mention at least part of the time it's some characters trying to make it look like an anti-Muslim incident.

It's also a negative news story. You can put a positive spin on it by saying 'apart from some isolated incidences, people are by far and away gracious towards Muslims, given the recent events'.

I mean, seriously. What is the bolded even supposed to mean?

Can you point to those posts?

Like I said, I will recant if you can show me. But I have not seen those posts which you speak of, I see only these posts. So, I am not lying.

It's about context.

Some Muslims go on a murderous rampage. And instead of people in the community returning the favor, they are by far and away gracious towards Muslims.

'Muslims going on a murderous rampage' are the circumstances.

Read over this post, and really think about what you're saying. Seriously - really think about it.

As I just PM'd Yurt, I'm out. Good luck, Darth.

I will never understand how on a site littered with fucking douchebags, that it is Yurt who always gets under people's skin...

:notbad:

It's no secret that hate crimes here grew after the election.

"Since the election of President Donald Trump, news outlets and social media accounts have swelled with reports of swastikas at schools, racist taunts, and other hate-fueled attacks and acts of intimidation. The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has aggregated media reports and gathered submissions from its website, catalogued 1064 such incidents, 13 of which were later debunked as false reports, in the first month after Trump won the presidency. (Twenty-six of those incidents were perpetrated against Trump supporters.) The SPLC has presented that data in aggregate, creating an invaluable record of the scope of post-election hate crimes."
