In what is becoming an all too familiar pattern, news breaks on the Mueller investigation; and at first blush, it sounds as though Trump may be facing a firing squad by the end of the day. Only to find out it was much ado about not a whole helluva lot.

Even the stock market got sucked in on it.

This is reprehensible. I don’t know what can be done about it beyond firing people. Why does the ABC reporter [Brian Ross] still have a job? And what about the other outlets that followed Ross’s lead and basically reported a lie?

And people wonder why so many don’t trust the media—-you can’t.

Flynn has testified that he lied and is now singing to Mueller like a songbird and will give up everything he knows .. including Jared Kushner, who undoubtedly has lots to say to keep his puny ass out of jail.

Your side exists in a world of fake news .. mostly invented by your side .. like birtherism.
 
Do people understand the concept of fake news? I think they just impulsively hate on things that don't tow their lines. Lets see now. I think I recall this correctly, despite being under the weather. This was a big mistake, that needed retracting, and even letting go of someone. That's not fake haters, that's called a mistake. Use your brains, not your gut.

All depends who is making the mistake lol?

This was a particularly egregious Fake News incident. For starters, Ross is either half asleep when he writes his articles or he yielded to the temptation of ‘enhancing’ the news. ‘Getting Trump’ will score some serious cred amongst the media types. But we’ll be charitable and allow that he needs more rest.

Secondly, why was such an inaccurate story allowed to fester for so long before, someone, anyone corrected it? I’m probably not exaggerating when I say Trump’s Tweets are fact checked, within minutes, by someone at ABC. But Ross’s story lingered around long enough to adversely affect the stock market.

And of the course, the usual JPP suspects breathlessly parroted Ross’s inaccurate and misleading story before the ink was dry.

Basically, there’s a systemic problem in much of the media that goes beyond Ross. His was just a particularly egregious example of it.
