i'm all for the private sector, the problem is the plutocratic /oligarichical distribution of money. Not everyone has Big Money.

There are way too many people who live dirt poor, for whatever reason, compassion,a dn humainity -not politics -liberal or conservative -
should be our guide here.

Not a socialist, but if somehting doesn't give at some point, and the "1%'rs" don't stop glomming up everything ; i can learn to be one.

Why does it never occur to people that some choose being dirt poor ( whatever that means)?

Let me ask you something. Do you believe that there is a minimum standard of living?

That is, a belief that one should be able to afford to live in their own country?

Who will be the "decider" of what is the minimum standard? You?

Someone else who needs a Constitutional lesson along with a history lesson on this country and howitzer became so prosperous and powerful.

I don't bother teabaggers with that!
I'm upper middle class like them, I got to shelter 200,000 in income from taxes since retiring 18 months ago.
I'm gonna worry about 20,000 in welfare.
And to top it off, as I get wealthier ill shelter even more income. Why would I be an angry teabagger

Do you believe that babies should be put in jeopardy because of a parents decision ILA?

No. But that doesn't mean the gobblement should or can protect them.

Parents don't use car seats. Should we assign government minders to parents to make sure they parent appropriately?

Kids die in bathtubs

Kids die in pools

Kids get left in cars and die from the heat

All terrible, terrible events.

But given a choice. I will take tragedy over tyranny any day.
