A village in Texas is about to get its idiot back!

It's funny that even liberals bought the whole cowboy image. Bush was born in Connecticut, his father was born in Massachussetts. I believe they are the only two or close to it that have won the election but lost their own home states.

It matters whether or not you believe that "home state" is only the state you were born in. George Bush has spent nearly his entire life in Texas.

For instance:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush#Childhood_to_mid-life
Born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 6, 1946, Bush was the first child of George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush (born Pierce). He was raised in Midland and Houston, Texas, with his four siblings, Jeb, Neil, Marvin and Dorothy. Another younger sister, Robin, died from leukemia at the age of three in 1953.[14] Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a Senator from Connecticut and his father served as U.S. President from 1989 to 1993.

George H.W. Bush was raised in Connecticut but moved to Texas and has also spent most of his life there.

The only president who ever lost his home state was Woodrow Wilson - who was born in Virginia, but New Jersey (originally said Mexico) is usually counted as his home state because he was governor and spent most of his life there.

There may also have been a few people in the 18th century who lost their home state. I know for a fact though that no one in the 20th or 21st century has lost the state they were usually identified (although Al Gore came close to winning), even if you count "home state" as only being the state you were born in.

well no, connecticut wasn't though of his home state even though he was born there. People tend to move around during their lives and claim new residency.

Although, gore did lose his state in 2000.

and im saying Connecticut wasn't his home state. DURRRRRRR. He was in texas for more than a decade and that's where his official residency was. Texas was his home state at the time of election and for years prior to that.
