Despite the discovery of classified materials, there is no indication Biden himself was aware of the existence of the records before they were turned over. The records were turned over quickly, without any intent to conceal.

Trump on the other hand knew of the documents, and even obstructed and lied in a protracted battle to retrieve the documents.

As the MAGA militia loves to cite from the Mueller Report, if there wasn’t malice nor intent, or even knowledge that a law may have been broken, there is no crime. Can’t say the same for Donnie

It's very relevant since the law specifically requires intent for it to be a crime.
If someone doesn't know they have them then there can be no intent.
If someone does know they have them, refuse to give them back and then hides them instead of turning them over when subpoenaed that may not prove intent but it certainly would be more likely to be proven in court.

Donald Trump is being investigated on things and so is Biden- like all presidents and other political figures are through normal check and balance systems in place for exactly that!

If Trump had returned the documents when asked to, his case would have been a nothing burger.

In a move, things get packed that shouldn't be packed. If they are later discovered and returned then it doesn't violate the law. If they are asked for and not returned then it does violate the law. Someone this morning was talking about how they had asked for their military medical file to go to the doctor, when they got it they discovered it contained classified information so they had to take it back so the classified information could be removed. It wasn't a crime. Those things happen. Having it is not the crime. Not returning it to its proper place when you discover it is the crime.

Biden Aides Discover Another Batch of Classified Documents from His Time as VP

Another tranche of classified documents from President Joe Biden’s time as vice president has been discovered by his aides, NBC News reported Wednesday afternoon.

The initial report broke Monday that classified documents had been found in one of Biden’s private offices, sparking debate among political commentators seeking to compare or contrast these documents to those seized by the FBI from former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Which angle various commentators took largely depended on the individual’s political leanings, but Karl Rove was among those who remarked on multiple key ways that the Trump documents situation was worse, leading to an angry response from Trump himself.

It’s been a highly contentious issue for Biden, especially in light of his criticism of his predecessor, and this latest revelation seems likely to increase the controversy.

NBC News reported that Biden aides “have discovered at least one additional batch of classified documents in a location separate from the Washington office he used after leaving the Obama administration,” citing as a source “a person familiar with the matter.”

The discovery of the original documents with classified markings in a office formerly used by Biden resulted in his aides launching a search for “any additional classified materials that might be in other locations he used,” according to NBC News, resulting in these newly found documents:

Aside from the obvious mentioned above...the Saudis/Putin haven't seen whatever docs Biden had.

So now we have a third document discovery.

And documents were found in his garage and in his PERSONAL FUCKING LIBRARY, but magically he didn't know about it? Not to mention his response when questioned about the garage documents directly implied he knew about them.
