A Peaceful War on Mental Institutions

It was a terrible thing that happened to those people.

But in a larger sense, I wish we would commit people more often. In far better conditions of course.

There are so many mentally ill that are on the streets due to the difficulty in committing them. On the other hand, back in the day so many were committed just for being gay or for other ridiculous reasons.

We need a happy medium instead of the extremes.

Mental Illness is still a hot potato issue in this day and age. The order of the day seems to be to ignore them. Put them in prision. These people have disorders that they personally have no control,but many people still want to treat them as criminals.This is nether just nor fair.
Cival liberties for the mentally ill still have along way to go before there is justice here.
