In a memo to employees Wednesday, Comey said the decision to not recommend charges against the now-Democratic nominee wasn't a close call.

"At the end of the day, the case itself was not a cliff-hanger; despite all the chest-beating by people no longer in government, there really wasn't a prosecutable case," he said in the memo.

In recent weeks, Comey has met with groups of former FBI agents as part of his routine visits to field offices around the country. In at least one recent such meeting, according to people familiar with the meeting, former agents were sharply critical of the FBI's handling of the Clinton probe and particularly the decision to not recommend charges against Clinton. Comey gave the meeting participants a similar answer about the case not being a cliff-hanger.

IMO.....Comey doesn't seem to realize that a large part of the American people don't agree with his decision.....her guilt seems so obvious to a lot of folks and gets more and more obvious every day.....

Comey let her off the hook---it's that simple. The only question is why.

His reasoning was based on the premise he couldn't prove intent [leaving for the moment 'proving' is up to a prosecutor] which is crap, because Hillary *intentionally* scrubbed her server.

It's a little scary when you think about it. Someone has the goods on someone else for the FBI to allow itself to be used in such a manner.

It's no surprise some of its former members are up in arms over it.

(U) Hillary's antics grow ever more comical. I asked some people what the classification label "C," means, and then informed them that they are qualified to be Secretary of State.

(U) She should certainly have been indicted. In the words of George Tenet, her conviction would have been a "slam dunk."

(U) Since she gave false testimony to Congress under oath, she has something else in common with her husband. I wonder if she will perjure herself when she submits her sworn deposition to the court.

Intent is just bullshit.....thousands of people get prosecuted every day that never 'intended' to break the law, but did....
How many people are convicted every day for 'negligence' .....
These 'Intent' excuse is so blatantly a cop out to let Hillary break the law at will...even the stupidest of liberals must know it...except maybe Jarod, Christiefan, Zippy and a few others....

to those in the government power structure, the bolded is irrelevant. we american people are just idiotic dimbulbs who don't understand the law, the economy, the politics, and to most of them.....the written word. we're simply the lowest denominational life form and need to be governed, guided, and controlled.
