A grim portrait of Biden's unhappy America

How's about booting the seditious and treasonous and insurrectionist GOPer scoundrels to prison and long term under extreme conditions? This along with their lead in treason and insurrection tRump and his bacterized criminal family and associates who conspired against Democracy, in particular, at doing the bidding of foreign enemies and other elements of the sewer, who pretend to be working to hold internal political repuke and blue dog criminals accountable but are basically playing society as a sucker at also being the enemy from within.

Why should this be a grim portrait of Biden's un-happy America when you clump of sleaze ball trolls represent the stench of an obscene and subhuman portrait:

Speaking of a Biden bingo, with President Biden at recovering from the tRump covid king atrocity as follows:

Doses given
547M
Fully vaccinated
213M
% of population fully vaccinated
64.6%

And deaths have increased exponentially under his watch. STFU you brain dead welfare collecting idiot.

So, your contention is that "waning faith in elections" is due to Democrat "lies"...do we have the basic premise correct there?

I don't completely agree with that. I think it's more about the process. No voter ID. All mail-in balloting. Seeing vote counting--improprieties--shall we say on the news. It isn't one thing, but a combination of things that are questionable that is causing people to lose faith in the process. The Democrats shouting, "Nothing to see here!" then trying to pass shit bills like HR 1 and 3 that reinforce the very things many people find objectionable and questionable about elections does them and the process no good.

That's actually incorrect: we've always had many of these things. The only reason many now believe that things are "tainted" or "rigged" is because a pathological liar said so, and keeps saying so.

That's it.

Irrelevant appeal to tradition. It is also simply incorrect. Until very recently, all mail-in balloting was not part of American elections. The lack of voter ID requirements along with very lax registration standards is also relatively new. The reason these things are more prominent today is because we are in the electronics age and the resulting massive increase in the flow and ease of getting information has made voting irregularities and questionable processes far more visible.

Many believe it because they're watching it happen real-time now.

Trump also said there was "massive fraud" in 2016, and called 2012 a "sham."

Republican politicians followed suit. Followed by people like a former 5-star general and the Pillow Guy. Every right-wing blog & website & podcast repeats the same false claims, every single day. Participation in GOP politics relies largely on the belief that the election was stolen and that there was massive fraud.

And you'd have us believe that this was some sort of natural, organic progression?

Nope. The only reason people are losing faith in elections is because of a pathological liar's claims. 100%.

Trump is a blowhard, braggard, and exaggerator. So?

So? There was the same--exact same-- thing coming from Democrats and the Left in 2016.

And you'd have us believe that this was some sort of natural, organic progression?

Nope. The only reason people are losing faith in elections is because of a pathological liar's claims. 100%.

You miss my point. It doesn't take actual massive fraud for people to begin to question the process. The seeds of doubt begin with having lax standards and shitty systems in place. A big one is all mail-in balloting. Another is no voter ID requirements. It doesn't matter whether these result in no or massive voter fraud. What matters is people's perception of the process, and these don't strengthen that.

And deaths have increased exponentially under his watch. STFU you brain dead welfare collecting idiot.

Actually, you need to shut your ass up and consider some facts, versus your trolling fiction as follows:

Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates. Misinformation is to blame

Since May 2021, people living in counties that voted heavily for Donald Trump during the last presidential election have been nearly three times as likely to die from COVID-19 as those who live in areas that went for now-President Biden. That's according to a new analysis by NPR that examines how political polarization and misinformation are driving a significant share of the deaths in the pandemic.

NPR looked at deaths per 100,000 people in roughly 3,000 counties across the U.S. from May 2021, the point at which vaccinations widely became available. People living in counties that went 60% or higher for Trump in November 2020 had 2.73 times the death rates of those that went for Biden. Counties with an even higher share of the vote for Trump saw higher COVID-19 mortality rates.

In October, the reddest tenth of the country saw death rates that were six times higher than the bluest tenth, according to Charles Gaba, an independent health care analyst who's been tracking partisanship trends during the pandemic and helped to review NPR's methodology. Those numbers have dropped slightly in recent weeks, Gaba says: "It's back down to around 5.5 times higher.""

They died of covid or with covid? Misinformation is a bitch ain't it?

Here I thought pandemics always made people happy. And there's even turmoil over politics at the dumbest levels, such as this thread, to find joy in.
