Thats one filthy habit I never had. Everyone in my family growing up smoked. I was the only one of my parents and 5 siblings that didn't smoke. I had plenty of second hand smoke though

I love the Rodney Dangerfield joke about smoking.... I got a weird doctor he told me if I wanted to quit chewing gum id have to take up smoking.Well, there's always this guy's method...
Dangerfield spent his entire career, and even before his career as a pot smoker. He never was able to incorporate his pot smoking into his act, and public persona. It was odd.
Pouch in mouth? Agreed. Makes no sense.
My advice is still valid.

Correct, it would be different today... But he would have had a different persona today.
He really was an aluminum siding salesman in the 1950's. Like most aluminum siding salesmen of the time, he wore a suit and tie. Those suits and ties were often badly fitting, and cheap. Aluminum siding salesmen were often heavy drinkers and smokers, but would not generally smoke pot. In fact, smoking pot could get you sent to prison for a long time.
Many aluminum siding salespeople(it is no longer just men) would smoke pot today. It would seem odd if they even attempted to wear a suit and tie. Drinking and smoker is no longer as tolerated.

VERY sorry to hear that Jake. Yeah,....that would make a big impact on just about anyone. Time heals all wounds,....hang in there and stay strong. You will see her again some day and when you do neither of you will have any pain or sickness,....only love.
