A corrupt and biased media

Scandal: Here's a story that would seem ripe for media bloodhounds to pursue. A disgruntled insider may have leaked damaging information about his employers, and was later murdered on his way home by two unidentified assailants.

Put President Trump's name somewhere in the mix and it would be the latest scandal-to-end-all-scandals, capturing wall-to-wall coverage, eliciting new calls for independent prosecutors and impeachment, and probably making Jimmy Kimmel cry again.

This is, in other words, a story full of questions that need to be answered. But outside of Fox News, the Washington Examiner and a few other outlets, it's being ignored by mainstream news outlets that are thoroughly wedded to the Russia/Trump conspiracy narrative.

The indifference being shown by them toward Rich's death speaks volumes about today's corrupt and biased press.

Everyone knows the details behind the murder of Seth Rich. And now they know the family has dismissed the allegations he was murdered because he was leaking DNC emails to Wiki Leaks.

Which, may or may not be true, because nobody knows all the facts.

But notice how quickly the media is ready to MoveOn on it. Since there's no 'blood in water' involving Trump, there's no calling for further investigation or endless theorizing and speculation. This, despite there is an actual crime and an actual victim.

They did the same thing when it came out that Flynn's name was leaked from within the IC: unlike with some theories, an actual crime was committed. Newsflash for the media and congressional democrats calling for a special prosecutor in the Russia conspiracy: before you appoint a prosecutor, you have to have an actual crime or the prosecutor is useless.

And there was one staring at you right in the face---and you did nothing.

Stepping back a bit, this is what Trump is up against. When Trump said he was going to drain the swamp, the gauntlet was thrown down.

And the critters are wall to wall.

I really don't know what planet you guys live on.

Trump is President. The scrutiny comes w/ the territory. Guess you guys weren't prepared for that.

Notable errors and retractions[edit]
In July 2009, an editorial in Investor's Business Daily claimed that physicist Stephen Hawking "wouldn't have a chance in the U.K., where the [British] National Health Service (NHS) would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless."[12] Hawking has always lived in the U.K. and receives his medical care from the NHS, and IBD later removed the editorial's reference to Hawking in its online version, and appended an "Editor's Note," which said, "This version corrects the original editorial which implied that physicist Stephen Hawking, a professor at the University of Cambridge, did not live in the UK."[13][14] Hawking himself responded, "I wouldn't be here today if it were not for the NHS. I have received a large amount of high-quality treatment without which I would not have survived."[15]

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I was. In fact, I predicted all of this prior to the election when I predicted Trump would win.

I predicted that he would face more intransigence from the RINOs who never wanted him to win and I predicted that it wouldn't be long before they went after impeachment. None of this is news to me.

You know it is kind of funny. Back in the day just 120 short days ago, you were anti Washington Post. Now you be lovin them. Can you reconcile what changed? Are they bad when they go after the democrat party and good when they go after Republicans? Is that your guiding light?

Stop pretending that this is the fault of the media, the Dems or the RINO's.

Trump has brought every last bit of this on himself. He's a terrible leader - just look at the state of his staff right now. He is unable to take accountability for anything, throws them under the bus on a regular basis and seems to be always threatening to fire people. His main leadership skills are a warped combination of cheerleading and fear.

Right so what you are saying is that when they go after the democrat party they are corporate whores, when they go after the Republican Party they are doing God's work. Got it

I admit Trump approaches governing like he is still campaigning. I also admit that he does not speak in gobblement speak and that gets him in trouble.

However, my larger point is that he has faced unprecedented assaults from the media, the democrat party and his own party. I am not saying that as a complaint. I predicted it would happen. This isn't really about Trump as much as it is the establishment trying to restore their normal order of things. Trump did not come from the normal channels and the establishment must make sure that never happens again.

The veil has been lifted and Americans are catching on to what a dangerous swamp Washington DC is and it must be blown up.

The point was made yesterday that - had Hillary told the Russians classified information, tried to coax the FBI Director to dismiss a case against someone who had been on her staff and then fired him, and done the rest of what we have seen out of Trump - we'd already be in the midst of impeachment proceedings. And that is spot on.

This isn't about the establishment trying to take down someone who isn't from the "normal channels." The story here is a real estate guy who is totally unprepared for the office to which he was elected, and in way over his head.

We can play the "If Hillary had" and I would say to that, yes the right would be screaming for her head and you and your fellow lefties would be defending her to the bitter end. So don't act like you are holier than thou acting on principle. I have watched you overlook her and Obama's wrongdoings and shrug them off. So don't act all pious and self righteous when the other side does it.

I am not justifying it, just pointing it out.

Bezos was named World's Worst Boss by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), at their World Congress, in May 2014. In making the award, Sharan Burrow, general secretary of the ITUC, said "Jeff Bezos represents the inhumanity of employers who are promoting the American corporate model..."[79] An article in the New York Times described working for Bezos and in the offices of Amazon as a grueling and inhumane experience with many employees regularly being terminated or quitting.[80]

I didn't vote for Hillary, and I didn't vote for Obama in '12. I was vocally against Libya, Obamacare, Obama's policies on marijuana & my disappointment that Obama was not able to change the tone in Washington at all. I started quite a few threads lamenting that Hillary was the Dem candidate (and watch - desh will start calling me a hardcore right-winger now), and pointing to her weaknesses and baggage.

So, no - I wouldn't shrug them off.
