A corporation is a tool used to allow people to operate without a hart or soul.

When you give a corporation the rights and privledges of a "person" you are creating an entity that has no hart or soul. One reason Capitolism and Freedom works is because people have inate goodness and will generally do the right thing. When you create a corporation whose goal is only the bottom line, you are taking that inate goodness out of the profit machine. The result in capitolism is that corporations that put the intent to benefit society over profit go out of business to the competitor who puts profit over the intent to benefit society. The end result is a corporation that is willing to harm people for profit.

yes, corporations have no heart and are evil

I never said they dont give away money, but they do it with the goal of profit in mind. When deciding to add a product to food that they know will make people sick or fat or otherwise unhealthy they only consider that effect that will have on the bottom line, if they considered anything else some other corporation would come in and put them out of business.

Ugh, are you guys really so afraid of the topic that you are going to turn this into a spelling debate.

Yeah...like law firms.......................like Steel, Alday, Havenmore

Yes plenty of Law Firms are operated like a profit only business, its one of the main impedaments to justice. They get much more business than I do, and I do a MUCH better job. Its frustrating to see so many potential clients to go a firm that advertises so much but that I know does a poor job.

shouldn't you be blaming someone else for issues like this instead of the company? like the FDA??????

To me responsability lies primarly with the person taking the action, I do agree the government should be setting regulations and enforcing them, but the primary responsability still lies with the person taking action.

the FDA had to approve any additive or ingredient added to any current product, so how is there not enough regulation and/or enforcement?

It was just an example, but yes harmfull chemicals have gotten threw the approval process. Its called lobbying, just because something is legal does not make it morally okay.

lobbying? as in getting a law passed by congress to allow some chemical to be added without approval?

you got a $14 million dollar verdict and you're complaining about business? and you don't have more advertising?

so what? i donate money and time, but i also consider my bottom line and profit. just because you are fiscally responsible doesn't mean you don't have a heart. corporations give millions and you're still complaining. i suppose you want to abolish corporations and just have the government take their place.

The rules on advertising are so strict I choose not to advertise. Its also my experience that the clients that come from advertising are not the type I like to work with. I do some google and youtube advertising.

Im not complaining so much about business, its just a shame when I see injured people go the the big advertising firms and get shafted.
