A contrarian view of the Supreme Court

Gore did contest the election, but he lost.

Gore formally contested the certified results.

The Court that you say can be "undone by Congress" decided the election and Congress can't "undo" that.

With Ginsburg gone, the left no longer has the means to cheat the president by allowing millions of "discovered" mail-in ballots to count after the fact.

I anticipate that the 2020 election results will be contested in the highest court in the land, and now the odds are no longer in your favor. Is that the reason for your sour grapes?

No,...he just has sour grapes in general. He isnt smart enuff to think of the scenario you perfectly laid out. But we are.....;)

Does it really matter what they do? Not really. They just interpret the Constitution.

Anything they do can be undone by Congress.

By all means, mourn Ginsburg's death.

Congress cannot undo a decision interpreting the Constitution without an amendment--very difficult to do. A relatively small number of cases each session (to begin in October) involve constitutional issues.

ANYTHING CONGRESS DOES CAN BE UNDONE BY THEM, AS IT TURNS OUT.

JUSTICE AMY CONEY BARRETT...GET USED TO THE SOUND OF THAT...

That would be fine and dandy if they stopped there. But RBG(as an example), was an left wing activist. Then the right has to appoint a right wing activist justice to counter-balance, and so on, ad infinitum.

Anything they do can be undone by Congress.

Not quite. If that were true, there would be no obamacare, and one of the reasons I think roberts can be an asshole. Obamacare was originally a required expenditure(but NOT a tax), SCOTUS says the gov can't "require" any American to buy anything. Then roberts says "but you CAN tax Americans". And before it gets out of the court, the jackasses are yelling "YES!! YES!! THAT'S IT!! IT'S A TAX!" These justices have no duty to tell congress how to end run the Constitution. OTOH, if congress goes ahead and enacts a law as written after the SCOTUS declares it unconstitutional(assuming it isn't vetoed by the POTUS), wouldn't that in itself be unconstitutional? Not to mention the SCOTUS would immediately be swamped by countersuits.

By all means, mourn Ginsburg's death.

I will neither mourn nor celebrate. I think she was a pompous, vindictive activist, resting on her laurels and sticking around(not retiring, just hanging around) to piss Trump off.
