A Civil Discussion: Evolution, Science, Theology, Atheism, Climate

Paradox. Irrational.

So you're basically telling me you've never set foot inside a college science class, and you really have no idea how natural selection is linked to genetic mutation and gene flow to cause descent with modification in animals and plants.

Science isn't a college class. The Theory of Natural Selection does not pass the internal consistency check. You are still stuck in your paradox. You are being irrational.

You have to hand it to Truth Detector. No one asks a stupid question as well as he does.

Irony and projection. So why not answer the question halfwit? If we "evolved" from monkeys, why didn't monkeys EVOLVE? It's a moronic theory you cannot defend or explain.

Agreed. He's among Trump's poorly educated, demented idiots on JPP.

QED. Thanks for being so quick to prove Concart correct, Trump Dummy!

Okay; I want to revisit this theory of evolution.

If man evolved from monkeys as the theory goes, why didn't the OTHER monkeys and apes evolve?
First, Trump Dummy, having a common ancestor doesn't mean we evolved from monkeys.

Second, some other intelligent species did evolve, but they either died out, as Homo Sapiens Sapien almost did, or were killed off....probably by our ancestors. LOL

About 70,000 years ago, human beings almost went extinct too.

Because once in our history, the world-wide population of human beings skidded so sharply we were down to roughly a thousand reproductive adults. One study says we hit as low as 40.

Forty? Come on, that can't be right. Well, the technical term is 40 "breeding pairs" (children not included). More likely there was a drastic dip and then 5,000 to 10,000 bedraggled Homo sapiens struggled together in pitiful little clumps hunting and gathering for thousands of years until, in the late Stone Age, we humans began to recover. But for a time there, says science writer Sam Kean, "We damn near went extinct."

I'd never heard of this almost-blinking-out. That's because I'd never heard of Toba, the "supervolcano." It's not a myth. While details may vary, Toba happened.

Toba, The Supervolcano
Once upon a time, says Sam, around 70,000 B.C., a volcano called Toba, on Sumatra, in Indonesia went off, blowing roughly 650 miles of vaporized rock into the air. It is the largest volcanic eruption we know of, dwarfing everything else...

Fact; morons who start their comments with "Trump Dummy" are morons.

It's called the theory of evolution and does indeed argue that we evolved from apes halfwit.

REVISIONIST MALARKY ALERT!!!

Now run along halfwit. :palm:

We still are "apes". We're primates of the great ape variety.
