A better functioning government than the United States

"There is a really remarkable, rapid shift of power and influence from the United States to China," Mr. Soros said, likening the U.S.'s decline to that of the U.K. after the Second World War.

Because global economic power is shifting, Mr. Soros said China needs to change its focus. "China has risen very rapidly by looking out for its own interests," he said. "They have now got to accept responsibility for world order and the interests of other people as well."

Mr. Soros even went so far as to say that at times China wields more power than the U.S. because of the political gridlock in Washington. "Today China has not only a more vigorous economy, but actually a better functioning government than the United States," he said, a hard statement for him to make because he spent much of his life donating to anti-communist groups in Eastern Europe.

I really love it when the pinheads actually speak their mind and let it all hang out.....I'm so accustomed to their lying asses speaking like Conservatives to get elected, its actually refreshing to here them tell the truth for a change....

In other words. China has to close the trade gap. It has to start importing some stuff to balance things out.

But what are they going to import, when they can make knock offs of anything and make it cheaper themselves using slave labor?

And even though the American government is making up all that nonsense about China? The truth of the mater is they love doing business with China because it gives them ridiculously high profit margins. Why would they stop? For the American people?LOL

Do you think the American government serves public interest? Nope. They serve Elitist interests. That's who lines their pockets with gold....

From what I understand, China has special economic zones where the economy is relatively free, and outside of those zones there's still a lot of state control. I'm not sure if that's the picture we're still looking at though.

I saw what you believe to be communism in China many years ago. People being sent to the countryside to plant rice, hotels that turned off the lights at about 9pm, cars that drove on side lights to conserve batteries. Even fifteen years ago I visited gigantic factories employing thousands of workers where the Managing Director travelled by company bicycle and was paid just a few percentage points above the workers. (Mind you he was as thick as pig shit and would have been unable to hold down any job in the west). Friends tell me that when they were young all school children learned Russian as a second language.
Now? For bicycle read Ferrari, for fried dog read caviar and pate de fois.
The SARs (Hong Kong is one as is Macau) are relatively rich and life is generally quite good, compared for instance with parts of your own country. The SEZs, one of which (Shenzen) is but a half hour drive from where I presently sit and which acts as a draw for people like my daughter and her friends who visit every two weeks for massage, facials and to have their nails done as well as coming home with copies of the latest branded handbag, are still controlled but money flows quite freely. They work rather as Free Ports used to work. Raw materials counted in, finished goods counted out. The practice of 'under the table money' (corruption) is being substantially reduced and business, for those that understand, is quite lucrative. I have two friends - one employs about 10,000 workers and makes a product that you probably know quite well in the US, the other has just finished building a new three story factory and employs about 1000 people making a product presently on Walmarts crowded shelves.
Outside the SEZs thinks are improving. Its a bit like watching ink spread within blotting paper, it starts in the coastal areas and spreads slowly inland.
BUT - I would challenge anyone, anyone at all to find even the vestiges of communism (as communism really is and not as Americans are manipulated into believing it is).
In a country of 1.4 billion some state control is essential and democracy is unlikely to be a better option for several generations.
I do hope that didnt bore you too much.

:palm:....That don't even deserve a response...

Are you serious? Do you even know what communism is? Let me clue you in on a little fact here you shameless idealogue. There are no Billionaires, let alone Millionaires in real politically communist countries.

See you brainwashed fool, names of parties are not necessarily their ideology.

China is not Communist. Ignore this fact, and you will be one of the supertards to sit back and watch China whip our asses economically in the next 100 years, because you base the name of their party, and thus their destiny, on the name of a long since failed economic philosophy.

So if you're going to sit back and slap your head because someone said China isn't a "Communist" country, then keep your patience fool, because they'll be the ones slapping it for you.

Fuck the coming generations right? We've got this thing down, no threat at all! Nothing to see here!

Stop being such a willful fool. A complete lemming fool.
