91% of Trump voters sticking by him despite Capitol Hill riot

I have a feeling that this is going to go the full 15 rounds,... like the old days. Many still think its going 12. They are wrong.

They were ignorant enough to support him in the second go-round, so I’m not surprised at all.

Stupidity of that level is not fixable.
 
I would note even more importantly that Luntz's polling and focus groups say

67% think there were serious problems with the election and the counting process.
78% think the election was rigged.

Those numbers are not just Republicans. That's Independents, Democrats, you-name-it, thinking there were serious problems with the 2020 election.

Claim to the contrary it's all bullshit, that the courts rejected hearings on it, or whatever, but when that many people think there were problems with the election process, there is a serious perception problem here. Most Americans are starting to distrust the election process and that's a serious problem--true or not. If that continues there will be a crisis in confidence about elections and that could turn ugly.

So, I'd say the Democrats being in power need to do something to restore the public's confidence in elections. I doubt they will and will instead double down on things that drive confidence down like no voter ID, ballot harvesting, instant voter registration, months long balloting, etc.

Repetition is an effective thing. Especially repetition from authority figures. It's one of the oldest & most reliable tools of propoganda.

Agreed on not forgotten. I'm positive Trump has at least one good flounce by the 20th and, if he's able to do so, he'll be screaming for a few more years to come.

Regardless, the stain of the Trump administration will leave an indelible mark on US history for decades to come.

I can't think of anyone in public life who has left such a wake of ruined careers and wrecked lives. And all for his ego - even guys like Pence who were unfailingly loyal eventually ended up on the wrong side, for simply adhering to his Constitutionally defined duties as VP.

What is it about this guy? I'll tell ya - once you're on the outside and the spell is broken, it's pretty obvious what the scoop is.
