Man who trespassed at the Capital and destroyed public property gets 90 days in the can and 3 years probation!

Guess he should have stayed away from the insurrection attempt.

WASHINGTON —
A Keene, New Hampshire, man was sentenced Monday to 90 days in prison for his part in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Jason Riddle was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay $254 in restitution for theft of U.S. property. He had admitted entering the Capitol building and taking a bottle of wine and a book.

Riddle was also sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $500 restitution for violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

After Riddle pleaded guilty to the charges, prosecutors asked that he be sentenced to 90 days, along with probation, community service and $7,544 in restitution.

Heheheh, I thought so too until I saw that it was a Jarod thread. He doesn't usually go in for starting threads about other members. Unlike the Toxic one posting above, he's here to talk about politics rather than gossip.

And that being said, I'm glad they're giving these asshats prison/jail time. The sentencing judges don't appear inclined to go with just probation, like they might have had it been simple trespass elsewhere.
