It is my experience that the some of the right are incapable of discussing the topic with retreating to the intellectually bankrupt tactic of name calling and labeling of the young black youths and liberals.
My solutions are not focused on race; my solutions would attack gun crime across the spectrum of race, class and geography.
1) Decriminalize recreational drug use, reallocate interdiction / enforcement / prosecution budget lines to wherever needed among the following:
2) Enforce with vigor laws criminalizing the violent misuse of firearms.
3) Don't use any weapons offenses as bargaining chips to be thrown out for guilty pleas for other charges.
4) Never allow the pleading down of felony gun charges to misdemeanors.
5) Mandate full time sentenced to be served for any violent misuse of a firearm.
6) Enhanced sentences for repeat offenders / felon in possession with reduced appeal opportunities.
7) Mandate states maintain the most up-to-date database of prohibited persons possible (including a red flag for mental issues - HIPPA be damned). and this be shared with the federal system and all other states.
8) Increase funding for parole/probation programs for enforcement of conditions of release and tightening of controls on those under conditional release and oversight of the boards responsible for early release.
9) Increase funding for states / cities for FTA/fugitive recovery with a priority on violent offenders.
10) Enact a nationwide concealed weapon permit system for law-abiding citizens that no state or municipality can opt out of.
If these steps were taken criminal firearm homicide would fall 50%+ in 3 years.

These steps will do nothing to reduce the catastrophic level of murder in our Liberal urban sewers because they continue to ignore the REAL problems that create these crimes. #1 is just downright dumb.
The reasons for high crime in Liberal urban sewers are not due to gun laws or lack of criminal prosecutions for gun violations. Most of these Liberal controlled urban sewers have some of the toughest gun laws in the nation.
They are the result of an imbedded culture of entitlement fed by Democratic Government redistribution schemes that results in fatherless families, teen mothers with multiple babies from different missing daddies and an educational system that is dumbed down to graduate, or ignore, illiterates instead of educating them.
Until you end the cycle of dependency and massive HS dropout rates, along with strongly policing the high crime rates in these urban sewers, the problem will continue to grow and fester like a cancer until these urban sewers resemble a bankrupt Detroit.
In addition, implementing policies that create economic growth and job creation will go far to assisting this effort; things like passing a Flat Tax, abolishing the current tax code, implementing term limits on professional politicians and ending all Government subsidies.
They are stupid suggestions that will do nothing to end the cycle of crime in Liberal controlled urban sewers; but at least he made an attempt unlike you. You're only capable of trolling threads with stupidity.
