Washington (AFP) - A 78-year-old drifter in prison in Texas has confessed to 90 murders and is being investigated as possibly the most prolific serial killer in US history.

Samuel Little preyed mainly on drug addicts and prostitutes during a decades-long murder spree that stretched from coast to coast, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in a report.

I do believe the rate among blacks is likely higher than whites. Their violence/murder rates are much higher per capita. I see no reason why the serial killer rate would be different.

Public perception that it is a white problem led to delays in finding the Atlanta serial killer, and that guy in DC shooting from a van. The black serial killer just doesn’t get publicity, so police don’t look for it.

I have not commented on race and people in prison have been known to confess to crimes falsely in order to get moved out of their current situation. Someone falsely confessed to killing that girl in Cleveland who had been held hostage and eventually escaped after years and gave the police enough detail that they went out and dug up a vacant lot over it.
 
Race is irrelevant. How does anyone get away with killing 90 people? That's crazy. (In a very sick way it's impressive but that's not the point)

he was killing for religion
