Again, for those who are responsible for the shut down, sitting in their safely gerrymandered districts...probably not a big problem, unless this shutdown is drawn out.

You have to take these polls with a certain grain of salt. In 2012 more people voted for Democratic house candidate than Republican candidats by over a million votes yet we still have a Republican house majority. I would not be surprized, just as in 1996, to see a change in the house GOP leadership. Boehner has been a historically weak Speaker. Boehner has painted himself in a corner in that to cater to the extreme right of the party he has alienated the moderate, center right of the party.

I hear there are millions of people who are losing healthcare, and being dumped on Obamacare, getting their hours cut to 29 hours a week, and losing their jobs because of Obamacare.

What about these people?

Sure he did, that's how we got Obamacare. I think if Obama has a Democratic majority in Congress he will appoint more liberal justices than if he has a Republican Congress.

Yes, some businesses have cut people's hours to avoid paying for those people's healthcare. Guess what? those employees can get health care on the exchanges still, even if their job doesn't provide it. And if their pay is cut enough, they'll be subsidized.

So us taxpayers have to pay for those unethical companies. There should be a wall of shame for those companies; no one should buy from them. And I hope their employees find more ethical employees.

I agree. My rep is McClintock; the district is 60%+ republican; no Dem will win, and it's doubtful a moderate republican can beat him in the primary; he has too much money.

McCllintock is one of the worst; his district includes Yosemite Nat'l Park which is now closed, so the whole community will be losing money due to lack of tourists. Plus a lot of his constituents aren't working now. And he doesn't care. And he will get re-elected. sigh.

Most of them I know, but this is a very red state, with lots of government émployees. I imagine Don Young will get reels ted because he is against the shut down, as were Begich and Murkowski.
