The planet has been warming for 20-25,000 years...where you been?


Most of North America was covered by a 1000 meters thick ice sheet ; the melting it was so rapid if formed the Great Lakes, and drug 100 ton+ boulders thousands of miles.


Let us all know when any warming like that is taking place again.


This is just a continuation of the process that ended the last Great Ice Age....thankfully.

The warmer the planet, the better. More arable land ( we used to farm in Greenland and upper Scandinavia) = more food.

Not if there is massive methane release from thawing tundra, and as well massive rise in sea level.....both would be catastrophic for humans.

NEITHER ARE EVEN A POSSIBILITY.


THERE IS GREEN PLANT LIFE UNDER THE ICE IN GREENLAND ,ALL OF SCANDINAVIA, AND THE ARCTIC.


AS I SAID, IT HAS BEEN ICE FREE BEFORE ,AND THAT "TIME OF PLENTY "LED TO THE RENAISSANCE, AT THE END OF THE "LITTLE ICE AGE"... .

As the planet warms we will lose a lot more livable space than we gain. Humans could adapt to a warming planet (not that we are even trying), but I suspect that it would need to be with smaller population levels.
