Jobs was brilliant. Zuckerberg, Gates, Ellison and others have become billionaires and are college dropouts. Not everyone needs a college degree.

I couldn't would consider such things to be like taking all the special kids in the school and putting them in a room and playing educational films to keep them occupied so they don't distract the rest of the school just on a collegiate level. I wouldn't call that coddling stupidity more like universities cashing and on them. after all it's government money so they can charge whatever they want.
A normal society wouldn't let radical nutjobs protest in the streets for months all but unchecked. There was such a protest in Moscow just the other day. Thousands were arrested and the police made short work of the crowd. No coddling stupid there.

A great deal of the attraction of college is to be able to be in a culture of educated people colleges is much about the culture as it is the education
