54% Say Administration Is Major Source Of Corona Misinformation

"Over half of the people surveyed in an April poll said President Donald Trump's administration was responsible for significant amounts of misinformation on the new coronavirus.

A survey by Gallup and the Knight Foundation that interviewed 1,693 adults across all 50 states and the District of Columbia who were members of Gallup's panel April 14-20 found that 54% of respondents said the Trump administration was either the largest or second-largest source of coronavirus misinformation.

Respondents were asked what they thought were the "main" and "next most common" sources of "false or misleading information about the coronavirus in the US." The choices were the Trump administration, mainstream national news, social-media websites and apps, state elected officials (governors), friends and family, and local news."

Expectedly, party affiliation determined what people believed.

Republicans say the mainstream news is the most responsible for misinformation, and Democrats say it is Trump and Republicans.

"The White House has not responded to Business Insider's request for comment at the time of publication."

The panel at the hearing who work with Trump daily would disagree. They each said there's been no problem working with or advising him.
So, 54% evidently have no use for Fauci, Geroir, Redmond and Hahn either.

Your president said ten weeks ago that the virus was contained, and we would soon be down to zero cases

The only people who call themselves Republicans at this point are cult members. So it isn't surprising that this breaks down by party affiliation. If Trump told them the sky was green, they would start a dozen threads here calling all the blue sky believers snowflakes and traitors.

No they wouldn't disagree, at least not in private. Trump has spread so many lies about the virus that you'd need an entire thread to keep up with them. Hey, there's an idea!

Those who want to lock themselves up and die can do what they please. No one will force you out of your bunkers.
Those who want to get busy living while using common sense guidelines in society can do that as well.

Do you wear a mask in public?

What are your medical qualifications to make that assessment? What medical school did you graduate from, and did you specialize in virology or epidemiology?

I hold no opinion on how long lockdowns should stay in place, I defer to the consensus opinion of expert American doctors and health professionals

Hello Cypress,

Your president said ten weeks ago that the virus was contained, and we would soon be down to zero cases

He's president for all of us until we do something about that by mail well before November 3rd, to allow for the USPS which is under attack by you-know-who.

And 5 weeks ago he tweeted that there was 'light at the end of the tunnel.' That day, April 6th, the USA set a new high daily death rate of 1505 deaths. Since then, we have had 21 days with a higher death count.

Must be a really long and very straight tunnel.

Been in the news. You must keep up. Lock yourself up in the dark and you won't do so well. LOL

I guess some here missed the panel/hearings....very informative....all members were very patient with those who wanted to try to play the blame game....but set them straight....

Indeed.

Let the bottom feeding, far left loons remain in their basements.

They probably don’t have jobs anyway.

This is one of the biggest misnomers being perpetuated by the right and their media, no one, absolutely no one, is opposed to opening up the economy, the difference is that the majority of Americans want to see it done smartly and guided by the numbers, not because some can't get a haircut, hit the local gym, or eat a restaurant. Even large parts of NY are scheduled to open this Friday
