Are you missing the point intentionally or because you're not that bright?

The point is that people oppose the plan, or say they oppose it, because of what they've been led to believe about it. When they're told what the plan actually is, 53 percent support it. You know first hand what kind of shit people believe about what's in the bill vs what is actually in there.

Your poll doesn't address that.

No one opposes this bill. They oppose the caricature of it by the right.

so how long does it take to explain 1,000+ pages to the average citizen in order for them to understand it enough to approve?

meadowmuffins....i've debated this bill and studied it as best i can in order to determine the truth of it and i still am not sure it is the best bill....especially when i listen to dems explaining how much they want this bill as an "opener" to single payer

you're dishonest about that and you know it

IMHO, we should've just skipped the whole process and expanded medicare to everyone. But clearly, Democrats who support single-payer want this to lead to single-payer. Democrats who don't don't.

You can sum it up pretty easily.

You can dispel the myths they have about it even more easily than that. Like giving free healthcare to immigrants, death panels, etc.
