50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination-Its lasting effect on the U.S., the world

Yet you continue asking him to 'just watch it man'... just give it a rest. Talk to Damo (board owner) and ask him. He may let you do it without all the accompanying nonsense. You have now stirred Darla up and the rest of us are left to deal with her stupidity.

Are you capable of making a post that is not to me, about me, or mentions me? I mean, I am not unaware of the honor you pay me, but my goodness...

50th Anniversary of JFK's Assassination--Its Lasting Effect On Us All

Believe me, next time I will definitely consult the owner before starting this type of thread. Hey, I apologize for the tone of my last response to you. A bit frustrated, I suppose. I realize that rules are rules and you're just doing your job. This thread has gone way beyond where I ever envisioned it to go...a bit sideways, but quite interesting nevertheless. Thanks for the warning, though. It won't happen again.

Did I just read part of a thread where somebody made a claim that people are afraid of talking about the politics surrounding JFK's assassination?

Geebus! That's just... wow... there really isn't a word for it.

Is this the video everybody is talking about?

Yeah, you can post it. It sure seems like political themed stuff to me.

It is always interesting to see the path a thread takes.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF JFK WASN'T ASSASSINATED?

No doubt politics in one way or another were responsible for his assassination. Was wondering if anyone has theories as to what would have happened if JFK wasn't assassinated. I've read that there are a couple of books due out in the fall with that as their theme. Thought that might be an interesting subject for discussion...

50th ANNIVERSARY OF JFK'S ASSASSINATION--ITS LASTING EFFECT ON OUR COUNTRY, THE WORLD

And may I ask, can you name one president in our lifetime who has not been a corrupt, lying asshole?

I've only lived during five presidencies thus far, but I've always found Bush Sr. to be pretty decent in this regard. Ford and Carter were before my time, but I would extend that compliment to them as well, since they remained significant public figures. That just leaves Reagan and Obama (who are at least decent enough fellows), and Bush Jr. and Clinton who are practically clones of JFK.

Just wondering how you so easily can refer to JFK as a "corrupt asshole" while the likes of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan escape totally unscathed from your critique. Reagan was at best a wolf in sheep's clothing---the kind, doting gradfatherly-type who started the de-regulation ball rolling that's effect we still feel today in a society ruled by greed and corporate interests. Bush ain't so lily white either with a questionable past being the the director of the C.I.A. What history books are you reading. anyway? Might take a look at "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" by Greg Palast for another point of view. Just a suggestion. Hey, I'm no scholar when it comes to politics, but for anyone refer to one of our presidents as a "corrupt asshole" should require some sort of valid explanation for using such a term. Please provide us with one...

Okay, how about incompetent corrupt asswhole, if you're such an apologist for the Bootlegger Family. I didn't defend Reagan, but I find your "Bush Sr. was CIA Director" crack to be amusing.

If you want evidence for Kennedy's corruption, I'm thinking his first run for US Congress is a good example, where he cheated by rigging the vote.
