Five hundred days ago Russia launched an unprovoked war of conquest against Ukraine. The Russian military intended to take Kyiv within three days but failed to accomplish any of its intended objectives in Ukraine.

Determined and skillful Ukrainian resistance has forced the culmination of multiple Russian offensives including the one aimed at Kyiv and has liberated Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts, as well as the parts of Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson oblasts that Russian forces had temporarily seized.

Ukrainian forces have secured and retained the initiative and are conducting counteroffensive operations along most of the frontline with Russian forces focused almost entirely on trying to hold on to the Ukrainian lands they still occupy. With Western assistance, Ukraine has ensured its independence but faces the critical task of liberating the strategically vital territory still under Russian control.

it is a shame that Biden didn't impose REAL sanction the day it started.......all of this could have been avoided......

Laughable.

Sanctions haven't caused Putin to back off one bit.

Putin has been planning on forcing Ukraine to be a Russian vassal state for 20 years at least.

This war is going to be decided on the battlefield.

Putin defined what a win for Russia was when he invaded 18 months ago -->

The conquest of all of Ukraine and removal of their government.

The demilitarization and de-arming of Ukraine.


Putin is not even remotely close to achieving his stated objectives, and in fact he has lost ground in the last 18 months.

Crimea is doing just fine, there's been no major changes there just as Ukraine will go back to normal once they quit fighting.

Seriously, what do people think Russia is going to change in their nation?

They simply want to ensure that NATO doesn't get a foothold there just like we did with Cuba.

that's why I mentioned REAL sanctions......seal off all Russian assets in the rest of the world until Ukraine and Crimea are free.......after using the money to rebuild Ukraine release what remains......
