I say the $5 million Gold Card idea lays the foundation for many cartel criminals who are easily worth that amount of
money to somehow get by the vetting process that would allow them into America to cause havoc, while having
absolutely nothing of worth to offer America or Americans in general.
So my idea/plan would be for the DOGE team to increase that amount of the Gold Card to $50 million, so as to be
almost certain that people worth that kind of money would have the intelligence and money making expertise to
do great wonders and growth for the industrial complex of our nation. Of course, they'll all be vetted, but my guess
is that you wouldn't find one person giving up that amount of money doing it with the intent to cause harm to or an
economic collapse to our nation.

Golden visa schemes are priced in the $100,000 to $5 million range. trump is pricing his golden visa scheme at the high end of the scale, but there is a reasonable argument for that. American citizenship is worth a lot.
But it is not reasonable. You see other countries, and the USA require an investment of $100,000 to $5 million in America. That investment in-theory would make money, and would be sellable after a while. trump wants to be paid $5 million. There is no requirement that these people do anything for the US economy. They could just sit in their native country, and then demand rescue whenever anything went wrong. It is also a huge amount of money to spend compared to other country's programs.
$50 million is off the scale. I would wonder why someone is willing to pay so much more than the reasonable price.
Bin Laden had that amount of money. There are other similar people who have that kind of money. They could give that money to someone who could pass vetting, but then would blow up a nuclear bomb in NYC.

I doubt they will be refugees. They will probably mostly stay in their own countries, keeping generating money however they did before. They will just have an American passport in their back pocket in case they need it.
It would take a lot more inflation for this to make sense, but we might just see that inflation before trump leaves office.

The real problem is will oligarchs from around the world be able to buy influence. The right wing Supreme Court has already ruled in Citizens United that any oligarch from anywhere in the world can spend as much money as they want to buy our elections as long as they do it through an easily setup American front company.
This is the law change that allowed trump to be president. his foreign supporters were allowed to fund his campaign.

I am noticing that this is the new trump defense. trumpers are admitting he is a total failure on the issues they know enough to judge him on, but say that there are other issues that he is good on. Those other issues they do not understand in detail, but trump says he is good on them, so they believe him.
$5 million for a single vote seems expensive. Any foreign drug lord, or whatever, can setup an American corporation to donate as much money as they want to political causes for $50. That seems more cost effective to me.
Notice that trump's rise to power coincides with the Supreme Court allowing unlimited money from foreign oligarchs, thereby selling America?
