49ers QB Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for the national anthem

Bullshit ...make him stand. The NBA has a rule .. everybody off their asses and stand for the anthem. And they do.

The problem is that the NFL wont make a rule because the NFL is politically correct.

No idea about what you claim you fought for in that tiny mind of yours, is there, philly idiot?

What's not over-the-top, Omar? Would it have been better for him to stand for his principles by sitting down, or should he have stood and stayed quiet so that nobody would get their feathers ruffled?

Should he have whispered quietly into his pillow at night about the obvious bigotry in our country?

Should he have told his dog in the privacy of his own home?

What wouldn't be "over-the-top"?

Here's the thing you and others don't seem to understand: he did not show disrespect for the US. He showed dissatisfaction with the disrespect our country shows so many people of so many groups.

There is a vital difference between a display of disrespect and a display of dissatisfaction.

(And if you want to see a display of disrespect, wait until I have time to deal with philly idiot.)

Thoughts on wearing a Castro shirt while speaking out against oppression?

Thoughts on wearing a Castro shirt while speaking out against oppression?

That would depend on why he wore it, but I think it's important to note that he wore not only a shirt with that picture but also a Malcom X hat (the shirt, by the way, isn't just Castro - it's a photograph of Malcom X meeting Castro in Harlem, New York).

There is historical significance to that photo that deals directly with intolerance - especially when coupled with the hat.

Was he using the shirt and hat to make a further statement? Quite possibly. You'd have to ask him.

Castro has a long history of oppression and racial intolerance. X I get. Castro no.

Don't run off so soon, I'm not done with you yet lol.

Maybe you're late to the party, but Kap was wearing a Fidel T shirt and a ball cap paying tribute to Malcom X. All the while holding forth on oppression against blacks.

Maybe you can account for that disconnect. I'm all ears.

I thought the NFL had a nuetral policy on politics.

For instance they wouldn't let Dallas, wear pro police decals on their helmets.

But if you want to shit all over the flag? Well hell that's OKAY!

Castro has a long history of oppression and racial intolerance. X I get. Castro no.

Among the opening comments when they met was this exchange:

Castro: "...Your people live here and are faced with this propaganda all the time and yet, they understand. This is very interesting.”

X: "There are twenty million of us, and we always understand."

If he wore the shirt and hat as a direct reference to the meeting, rather than through ignorance of what he was actually wearing, then it's quite plausible that it was another statement.

Especially considering that in the first years of Castro's rise as Premier, he professed equality and prosperity for black Cubans.

Just like many people do today to black Americans while bigotry still runs rampant. You need look no further than this forum for proof of that.

But again, for his motivations, you would have to ask him.

See my comments to wacko, Omar.

Who shat all over the flag?

Do you know anything at all about what America actually stands for? If your answer is yes, then you should sue your own post for libel.

Why does it mean that President Obama and Loretta Lynch hate black people? You've made the statement so you should really back that up with a point-to-point explanation, full of fact and detail, of exactly what you mean.

Go on. We'll wait.

Are you that slow and dumb?

Kaperdick and the other BLM tards are claiming that the country and the justice dept, (Both headed by blacks) is racist.

So it follows that Lynch and Obama must hate black people and are racist. What don't you get?

I'm waiting for you to connect the dots logically there, Irish. So far, you're just engaging in idiocy.

Rather like the famed Underpants Gnomes of "South Park", whose plan was:

1. Steal Underpants.
2. ?
3. Profit!

Your argument is:

1. BLM and Kapernick claim that the Justice Department is racist.
2. Idiocy, nonsense, stupidity, and general intellectual deficiency.
3. President Obama and Loretta Lynch are racist.

I'm really sorry that you've been radicalized by extremist propaganda on the right, but I'm afraid I'm still going to have to pin you down to logic instead of the insanity you're engaging in.

I'm not the one saying they are racist. This is the argument the left must be making. How can the system, RUN BY OBAMA AND LYNCH, be racist, if they are not also racist?

It's time you stop making red herrings and answer the question.
