Tariffs are ALREADY in place, Flipthebird... It's simply a matter of negotiating the exact tariff rates for each nation. All nations are currently paying a 10% baseline tariff (which seems to be a non-negotiable starting point for all nations), then there's other tariffs in place too (such as steel/aluminum tariffs). The USA will now be bringing in HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars in tariffs each year (maybe even TRILLIONS). That's money that We The People no longer need to be taxed for via income taxes. Income taxes could be severely reduced, if not completely done away with, given that kind of tariff revenue.
