3rd Female Lawmaker Targets Viagra in Response to Antiabortion Laws

A third female lawmaker is hitting below the belt to show her displeasure with the record number of antiabortion measures passing across the country.

The bill introduced by Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner on March 2 targets men’s access to Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs known as PDE-5 inhibitors.

Her measure would require that men undergo a psychological assessment before being prescribed the medication and a cardiac stress test every 90 days while on the drug as well as the patient signing a form that he understands the side effects.

She told ABC News today that her legislation was meant to show men “that we care.”

interesting tactic. just the other day christiefan bashed me for trying to compare the two, when i clearly was not. i wonder if she will take on these women.

imo....pretty stupid, as they are clearly not the same. however, the similarity is in terms of sexual privacy. should men get the same rights for viagra as women do for birth control?

Viagra has nothing to do with birth control.......whats the point...???

If any comparison is made at all, Viagra's purpose is just the opposite of birth control....

Pinheads have a different view I guess....lol

personally, this political warfare can only mean greater gains for libertarianism as the ones tired of the petty bickering by the babies leave their parties.

Defending the US Constitution is far from petty bickering.....if you think the issue is about the pill you're not thinking .......

you're on the wrong side of history, my friend. come join the dark side.

lol.

i am comfortable with the side of history i am on. there is no viable libertarian candidate that i would vote for. ron has some good ideas, but others, not so good. the growing class of independents make or break the us elections. why? because they are not swayed solely by party lines. unfortunately with our two system party, the independents are stuck with choosing the lessor of two evils at times. i was stuck with that in the past couple of elections. we could move toward a more european or canadian style of government, but i don't see any ultimate good from that either.

she is trying to make a point, that drugs etc, that effect reproductive systems should be supervised by medical professionals not politicians

While it's not the same thing on the repoductive side, the point is the same, at a certain point the law should just come down to "not involved". And leave it at that.

Libertarianism is just fascism rebranded. Libertarians hate freedom. They can't stand to be free, so they have to enslave others and take away all of their freedoms. Well, I won't stand for it. Death to the tyrants! Death to the fascists/libertarians! We defeated you in 1776, 1865, 1945, and 1991, and we sure as hell can do so again!

Another example of moonbats wasting the taxpayer's time and money. This idiot should be removed from her office in the next election.

Yet she is the one telling the medical profession what tests need to be done and how often, etc.....
