Yea, sure...
Here's some data CATO missed:
Illegals remit to foreign countries hundreds of billions a year. In 2023 alone, Mexico got over 66 billion in remittances, much of that drug money. Last year, total remittances out of the US amounted to over $600 billion.
Republicans in Congress want to add a tax to migrant remittance payments under the 'Big Beautiful Bill'. Critics say that could lead to more illegal immigration.

That alone is a net drain on our economy, and a significantly big one. It completely undermines the argument that illegals contribute to the US economy on its own.
Throw in another $150 billion plus for immigration enforcement.
The U.S. sees $150.7 billion yearly cost from illegal immigration, with policy shifts increasing taxpayer burden.

Then there's the economic loss to Americans when wages in certain sectors of the economy are driven down, like construction and food service.
When it comes to healthcare and social security, there is no real way to know what illegals are costing us. Many who work and pay social security (FICA) are doing so under false or stolen numbers. With healthcare, hospitals, emergency rooms, and the like aren't tracking if a patient is illegally in the country or not. The guesses wildly vary from a positive contribution to a huge net loss.
Given that numerous emergency rooms across the US have closed in the last few decades and illegal immigration is cited by those as a significant reason for closure, it's likely that illegals are a net drain on the system.
So, the ranting asshole in that video who cites a single study from CATO, that leaves out a lot of what I just discussed, is dead flat fucking wrong!
