I'm done on this thread. As I said before, I didn't think the idea that children are innocents who are worth protecting would be a controversial one.
And that's all it is. Both sides have innocent people - regular civilians who are just trying to work & get through life, and children. To try to portray either side monolithically is exactly what contributes to the perpetual cycle of hate. Once we start seeing people as individuals, we'll move forward in a much more positive direction.
If you protect those kids over the lives of Jewish children you are being controversial. If you can explain how the IDF can obliterate Hamas without also killing innocent civilians I'M ALL EARS because I don't want innocent Palestinians killed even if Hamas does. If you can't do that you are in my opinion just virtue signaling.
