3.3% GDP !

“Our industry is experiencing an extraordinary renaissance and its contributions to America’s economic, national and homeland security have never been more important,” said Tabbutt. “The largest sector of our domestic marine transportation industry supports our energy infrastructure with the movement of crude, refined petroleum products, and chemicals and has seen dramatic growth as a result of the shale oil revolution. This is driving record levels of new vessel construction orders and deliveries in American shipyards.”

Your post. At do yourself a favor and read what you link. And then, do everyone a favor and at least learn something about what the fuck you are talking about. You will not look so fucking stupid every time you post.
Yea...you should take your own advice.

To recap...you make claims about the industry suddenly booming because of trump, when in fact it's been booming for years.

Now look in the mirror, and read the last sentence of your idiotic post above.

It has not been booming for years. At all. You find one press release (which did not happen) and you base all your "knowledge" on that. Like I said, do some research. Educate yourself. Learn something. Then try and open you big trap.

The maritime industry is booming. Ports are full, shipping is backed up inbound and outbound. On the fishing side, they cannot keep up with demand. Ports are back to 24/7 operations, etc. The more traffic the better this economy is doing, supplies in, products out. Even on the boat building side things are taking off. Large yards are gearing, disco boat yards (pleasure boats) are booming. When you pull into ports all you see is cranes so the construction industry must be booming also. Pretty much everywhere you look.
Yea...has been for years and years.

Sorry pal. You can't back your claims that the industry is booming due to trump's policies.

Prove it.
Are you really that stupid? Why does it matter if a press release details testimony before Congress?

Tabbutt updated the subcommittee on the growth in domestic vessel construction and noted that the American shipyard sector is seeing a significant resurgence in construction for all types of vessels including containerships, roll-on/roll-off vessels, dredges, offshore supply vessels, large articulated tug-barges, and tankers. Tabbutt also noted that the state-of-the-art vessels being built are more productive, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly. America’s maritime industry is also reaching out to hire more veterans, Tabbutt said, through its Military2Maritime program with recent job fairs in Jacksonville, FL and Houston, TX.

“The American domestic maritime industry is doing its part to help address the transportation changes. There are 22 new large tankers and articulated tug-barges under contract, not including options for future construction.” Tabbutt said. “We have inland shipyards in this country that are building and launching, on average, almost a new barge every single day of the year. New tugs and towing vessels are also being built to handle that increased demand.”

“We are very grateful for the opportunity to testify before the subcommittee to share the good news of America’s vibrant maritime sector,” said AMP Chairman Tom Allegretti. “This is an industry that is investing heavily in vessels, personnel and practices to ensure its continued ability to safely and efficiently meet the demands of its customers, as well as the nation’s transportation needs. This is an exciting time to be a part of a very dynamic industry.”

Seeing and what actually happened are two different things. Keep grasping at straws there Althea though, it seems to be all you know how to do.

I never said it was because of Trumps policies. Not only are you wrong about shipping, you are wrong about that. Can you read?
In the midst of all the accolades for trump's magic economy, you added the sudden boom to your sector as proof of.....something. I'm not sure what, exactly. Sector has been doing well for years.

Care to show where I said any of this was because of Trump's policies? I will wait.

simplification means taxes are not a primary issue for expansion.
I mean taxes always are -but i've seen market expansions based more on tax policy rather then markets.

Also the corporate rate is out of whack -yes there are loopholes -but again they skew business decisions-
and are uneven by sector.
Better to junk all that..

The one thing i don't like is reduced rates for non-incorporated small business.that needs work..

It's not perfect, but it will get the GDP growth we need for now

We should use the money to bomb Libya some more!
we bombed Libya last year ( ISIS in Sirte) and did a few bombing runs in southern libya to go after training camps.

Egypt and the UAE are doing the same - ISIS is now decentralized, instead of taking over Derna/Sirte
