There's no evidence of a sudden rush of individuals on the terror watch list showing up at the southern border. The information that is available is vague and leaves many questions unanswered. That said, it's entirely false to imply a small number of individuals on the terror watch list coming to the southern border is a new phenomenon. Furthermore, it's worth noting that being on the FBI's terror watch list does not mean someone is a terrorist or has proven ties to terrorists.
check in there for yourself tooYep I get it. You're just pulling bullshit out of your arsehole.
FOX was correct. 23 people on the FBI's terrorism watch list have been arrested. There is a very distinct possibility others slipped into the US and weren't caught. CNN's article you cited tries very hard to brush this away:
This is a series of logical fallacies that attempts to make this situation out to be nothing. First, whether there's a "sudden rush" or that these people are simply taking on opportunity they see to enter the US doesn't change they are on the FBI's terrorism watch list. This is called retrospective determinism. That is CNN tries to argue that some terrorists tried to enter the US but it isn't because of anything the current administration is doing or not doing, rather this is just 'normal.'
They then try to dismiss the whole thing as "vague." This too is just an appeal to the stone fallacy. That is, CNN dismisses the report out-of-hand without bothering to show it is wrong or inaccurate. This is also a form of trivial objections.
CNN goes further trying to dismiss this whole situation by using several more fallacies, but never does address the issue of persons on the FBI's terrorism watch list being caught crossing the Southern border with any thing substantive--because they can't unless they want to admit it is a problem for Democrats and the Joke administration. In totality, the CNN piece is little more than propaganda bolstering the Joke administration in the face of yet another major fuck up.

check in there for yourself too
I agree, the CNN article is worth a face palm because it's so stupid.
Nope. Your post is worth 1000 Picard's facepalms.
are you arguing against the Terror Watch List and capture? Gitmo criteria was way too loose- agreed.
But here is the criteria now
Watch list is a national security issue. These are serious people when you star talking Yemeni terrorists
Too late! That's a loser comeback from getting smacked down for being vague.
Nope. Your post is so cringey and it's sad that you don't realize it. It isn't a comeback. It's an observation.

You're starting to babble like IntoTheNight.....another right wing wonk who's speciality is the misuse of the word "fallacy" and subsequent neologist phrases, right before he puts forth a diatribe of opinion, supposition and conjecture that he thinks are cleverly expressed facts.(hint: they're not) It almost seems that you're his alias.
Here's how I clarified the situation for another poster:
So the bottom line is that the subject title and OP is erroneous and misleading....as being on a "watch list" in and of itself does not mean you are a card carrying operative of Al Qaeda or Hamas or the Taliban...you could be just someone who knows of them or a relative or family friend. Hell, remember that Gitmo under the Shrub kicked 500 "watch list" types after years of incarceration with no explanation. And then there's this:
Alex Nowrasteh, director of immigration studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, told CNN that most years the number of those undocumented immigrants on the terror watch list encountered at the southern border "is in the low single digits."
"The numbers are so small it's hard to say anything statistically significant about them," Nowrasteh said, noting additionally that not a single American has "been killed by an illegal immigrant in a terrorist attack on US soil -- that hasn't happened."
Then post a cognitive rebuttal as to why. Defend CNN's article.

9-11 made the PresidentDailyBrief They were trying to put it together. Now I know you can read, so how the hell did you discern that I'm AGAINST the watch list? I merely pointed out it's historically documented FLAWS, in conjunction with the article highlights that puts serious doubt as to the veracity of the OP. Had watch list mandates were done right, 9-11 wouldn't have occurred, j
Seriously, just look at this and remember the "watch list" started right after 9-11: https://theintercept.com/2014/08/05/watch-commander/

I explain my use of them unlike ITN. Your explanation is another trivial objection. We don't know how serious the classification of these individuals was. Yes, there are different levels of terrorist threat assigned to people on that watch list. But regardless, we shouldn't be having anyone on it entering the US or attempting to do so, particularly across a now nearly open border.
CBP has released data showing that in 2021 23 known terrorists on the US terrorism watch list / database were caught crossing into the US over our Southern border.
23 known or suspected terrorists at the border in 2021
This means that there was an almost certainty that more terrorists than those caught got into the US.
9-11 made the PresidentDailyBrief They were trying to put it together.
I dont know if they would have been on the watch list or not. I do know international terrorists belong on it.
As to the numbers they are classified yes, but you can extrapolate based on the sheer numbers crossing
and 23 of that level is a major security threat
