2026: The Demographic Shift Is Confirmed

According to a projection published by The Visual Capitalist, based on United Nations databases, 85% of babies born in 2026 will come into the world in Asia and Africa, while only 8% of global births will take place in Europe, North America, and Oceania. These projections pose major religious and cultural challenges in the near future.

This demographic shift is not insignificant. Affluent Western societies, perhaps sated by their material progress, appear to have grown weary of reproducing. Fertility rates in Europe and North America are plummeting below the replacement threshold (2.1 children per woman), leading to accelerated population aging and an increased reliance on immigration.

Europe has entered a post-Christian era, (70% of its population was Christian 2020, but is in constant decline), and is actively striving to erase its roots.

These projections raise questions regarding the long-term viability of Western Christianity, a force that once permeated the known world. Can a society that fails to reproduce itself biologically survive religiously and culturally? Proponents of the culture of death would do well to remember that the world of tomorrow is shaped not from the grave, but from the cradle.
