he did tax reform for Ohio. it paid off. His foreign policy is a mish-mash of globalist actions and silly moralismHe's also sane & has a track record of success.

The bolded is very simplistic. There are a lot of reasons that minorities weren't all in on Hillary.
They were w/ Bill - and I think he was a white guy.
the next democrat candidate will be a minority woman.
W. Bush, and Obama were unpopular too, until you put them up against Kerry/Romney. Once you compare one turd to the other, people start to groan.
IDk what it is about American politics, but both parties like to shoot themselves in the foot, and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
If the dem party was smart they would nominate a moderate conservative like Jim Webb. That is someone I'd vote for over Trump. But would they ever do something smart? No.
Speak for yourself![]()
It's possible, but pretty dopey to suggest that's a given.
yea, just like you CRUSHED Trumps arrogance back in November?Thats the arrogant attitude I like to see coming from the Republicans. It will make it more likely we can pull it off.
last man standing? Bernie is kina old -but of course he's still very popular
There's so much that you clearly don't understand, I shouldn't even waste my keystrokes here. How about someone who can run the country instead of just impressing millenials? Y'all wanna win and smirk or actually accomplish something.
Millenials are easily impressed by freebies. How about trying to impress hard working middle class Americans and Independents?
I think there are a lot of Democrats who are a bit smug about defeating Donald Trump in 2020. They need to slap each other and wake up. Trumps win was no fluke and despite the conventional wisdom of Trump being his own worst enemy with already a host of self inflicted wounds it would be wise to remember that you have to nominate a candidate who can actually win and in that respect Democrats look real thin on the ground.
If Dems do as last time and nominate a high ranking party insider, probably a Senator, with one notable exception, they will lose. Most of the leading Democrat Senators are women who aren’t exactly popular at the national level. Knoblocher, Harris, Gillibrand and Warren might appeal to the base but are also lightening rods. Biden is capable but to old and one could say the same about Bernie and Bros. Al Franken, given his personality and media savvy would be about the only Dem congress critter I would give a slim chance too.
Governors have a much better track record of win in but who do the Dems have?
McCaulife is too much a party insider. Hickenlooper has solid credentials and has the gravitas but isn’t well known nationally, Jerry Brown? He has the age problem too. Corey Booker? Does anyone want another DLC moderate?
Not exactly anyone inspiring in the whole lot.
Governor O'Malley.. he's got an impressive resume- was very proactive on environment the Chesapeake bay.
He uses Data Driven Governing (metrics)
Everyone knows Martin O'Malley is a numbers guy. The data-driven approach to policy and administration that he created as mayor of Baltimore, known as "CitiStat," has been copied by cities across the country. Now, as governor of Maryland, O'Malley is showing that states, too, can improve performance by measuring what they do and relentlessly monitoring their progress.
Underneath O'Malley's "stat" talk is a deeper view about how to effect change in the public sector. Whether the issue is education, public safety or economic development, O'Malley says, the problems are complex and the bureaucracies are fragmented.
In his view, government won't improve unless leaders dissect the interrelations between different agencies and hold them accountable for meeting measurable goals.
That's where the numbers come in. For example, O'Malley has energized moribund efforts to reduce pollution in Chesapeake Bay by creating "BayStat."

However he had a very controversial mayoral policy of no tolerance -it brought down the homicide rate-
but at a cost
I thought NK Biden could do it... he is younger thanRump.
Personally I like Harris and Warren.
It's going to have to be someone who motivates the Millenials. Booker might just be the guy.
the primary lesson dems will draw from 2016 is that blacks did not turn out for clinton in the same numbers as for obama. I recall that clinton did some radio shows morning of election in NC with black hosts because they saw this problem from internal polling.
So the next candidate has to be a minority and since democrats want first woman under their belt it will be a woman.
I will be very surprised if we see a white presidential candidate for the dems again in my lifetime.
Baby steps. First focus on the reasons for your anger, and then work to address them. I feel we're making progress.FTFY

.
So...clarify for us...you believe trump is qualified to run the country?
