Completely?....Well...lets stipulate..., as far as government spending and laws enacted that actually affect the economy and business.....they have control....

and yes to your question....if a Dem. congress was getting their programs passed in those years and those laws affected the economy...they get the credit and blame.....

along with Reagan, as he was signing those laws and budgets....I assume he had choices.....though sometimes a President is left with little real choice...(.being too inflexible can do more damage than giving in in some cases....)

Now, care to get back to the present.....is Obama presiding over this economic train wreck as Bush presided over those 96 months in was in "charge"...........???

Every time anything bad happens, it's because of Obama, Clinton or the Dem Congress (or, some other Dem).

Every time something good happens, it's because of Bush, Reagan, the GOP Congress, or Fox News.

That should cover it....

The economy is global now, toots. Who do you think "controls" it? Congress? The world bank? Consumers? The Fed?

What a simple mind. There are about a dozen factors that influence the economy in a big way (and I wouldn't even use the word "control"), and a few dozen others that influence it in a more minor way. The idea that any one thing "controls" the economy is clueless. Positively clueless.

But please - go find something to cut & paste to show me how I'm wrong on that....

I have talked at length on this board about how AGW is impossible to prove & that liberals should give it up.

I haven't argued passionately for taxing each "according to his means"; I don't think I have ever used that phrase or anything like it in such an argument.

I haven't argued for cap & trade, or welfare, though I believe in that latter at a certain level.

Any more outright lies you'd like to tell tonight to try to distract from the fact that Bush is your hero, and you DO credit him with the good of the economy under his tenure, but not the bad?
