20 Years After U.S. Invasion, Iraq is a Ruined Nation

How would we export oil from Syria? Why would we bother stealing such tiny amounts of oil? Remember, Syria has barely any oil.
The US is stealing Syrian oil and wheat and selling it on the black-market. The US is trying to bankrupt Syria and overthrow Assad. We were the air defense for ISIS as they approached Damascus. Russia had to step in to prevent ISIS from taking Damascus.

You would think the wheat farmers would notice their wheat being stolen?

Again, how do we transport out this wheat?

For many Iraqis, it is hard to appreciate the positive developments when unemployment is rampant, with more than one in three young people jobless, according to the World Bank and the International Labor Organization. There are few private-sector jobs, which means that most people seek government positions. But there are not enough of those to go around for Iraq’s fast-growing population.

About a quarter of Iraqis live at or below the poverty line, according to Iraq’s Planning Ministry.

Looks like Iraq only has two partners- the United States and Iran. And that presents a problem because Iran and the US relations have fallen to an all time low.

For Iraq to have even the slightest chance to meet all of their economical, security, financial, fuel, social, environmental, food, and water needs, the whole Middle East is going to have to help.

It's time for a Middle East summit, and a new peace agreement in that region of the world.

But, until there is a new IRAN deal, there will be no Middle East Summit.

Wheat farmers are no match for ISIS and 900 US special forces. What part of the black-market don't you understand? How did Hillary get the weapons out of Benghazi?

The Zionist fascists have been giving licenses to the criminal fraternity involved in the invasion of Syria. They illegally occupy the Golan Heights, an area wherein they have actually dedicated an illegal squat to Trump.

"We're keeping the oil, remember that. We want to keep the oil. Forty-five million dollars a month."

There is a new sheriff in town (the Chinese)...things might change. The deal between Iran and SA is stunning...and the Chinese get all of the credit. They intend to be not as dumb as the Americans have been.

The devastation caused in the Middle East by the US and its client Zionist terrorist state has been dreadful. The general opinion across the ME and Africa is that ANYBODY would be more welcome than the United States. Western presence in these places is dependent ONLY upon corrupt leaderships there and brute force.

Yanqui- go home.

Is one of the central planks in the Chinese and their friends made daily claim that the West must be put in our place, defanged.....Which will end up with the Chinese in Charge as the Chinese know and as the Chinese designed and as the Chinese have worked towards for multiple decades.

These fuckers believe in delayed gratification!

Who here cheered when the TV showed US bombs and missiles dropping on the Iraqi people simply because they happened to live atop of our oil?

So we use "900 US special forces", to steal a few million dollars in wheat? Really? You do know that if you steal people's food, they are going to kill a few of your forces. How much did we spend to cover up those deaths?

How did Clinton get the weapons out of Benghazi? Have you seen Benghazi? Clearly she did not get the weapons out of Benghazi. The way the USA would get normal things in and out of a combat zone is by plane, but if you are going to try to make a profit off oil and wheat, you cannot ship it by plane. The transport costs would be far greater than the price you can get for them.

Your conspiracy theories fall apart under any inspection.

A million lives later, I cannot forgive what American terrorism did to my country, Ir

The invasion did bring about a new Iraq. One where Iraqis have daily encounters with the consequences of the war on terror: terrorism. The “new Iraq” that the warmongers promised did not bring Starbucks or startups, but car bombs, suicide bombings, al-Qaida and later Islamic State – the latter hatched in the US’s own military prisons in Iraq.

Today, there are 1.2 million internally displaced persons in Iraq, most of them in camps. An estimated 1 million Iraqis have died, directly or indirectly, as a result of the invasion and its aftermath. It is not just the body politic that is disfigured, but the body itself: the depleted uranium left by occupying forces has been connected to birth defects still today, especially in Fallujah, where there are also elevated rates of cancer.

China is a long way from being in power. They are not exactly a trusted nation either.

Keep believing the US is not stealing Syrian oil and wheat, Walt.
Keep believing Hillary and the CIA never ran weapons out of Benghazi.
Keep believing Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
Keep believing the treasury and the fed are solvent.

All you do is parrot US government propaganda. The banks collapsed 3 times in 15 years, yet you think our economy is strong.

All the banks collapsed 3 times in 15 years? Wow, that is amazing. And no one covered it? I must live in a bubble, because I have had nonstop access to the money in the bank I use.

Businesses go bankrupt all the time, it is not a threat to the economy, but I do have to agree with you that if all the banks collapsed, that would be an issue.

More than 1000 banks have failed since 2008. The ones that were not too big to fail, too big to jail. As usual, you're missing the point: there have been 3 bank bailouts in the last 15 years.
