The English Government killed a great number of Irish. Anglicans do not believe in religious persecution, and never did much of it, despite a great deal of terrorism, such as the Gunpowder Plot to blow up Parliament and the King.

He was anti us too. He sent troops to be ready to shoot us down in this Valley the year my parents were born. When I was young, people used to boo him on film. It was interesting. Our heroes were Paul Robeson and - in my family anyway - Mahatma Ghandi.
