Transgender prostitutes and lesbians are included within LGBTQ. It's a matter of identifying on the Kinsey scale. On a scale of 0-6, I would bet that less than half the population identifies as a 0 or a 6. More than half of the people I have known in my life (if we disclose our sexualities to each other) are neither straight nor gay.

One of the points I made early on in this thread is that people are more willing to disclose their sexuality in a more accepting environment so the actual number is still unknown. People are also more willing to explore their sexuality in an accepting environment. So s*** holes like the South will have less people willing to admit to being lgbtqia

10-11% of people are, indeed, left-handed. I'm one of them. Handedness was my main paper in college. While up to 10% may be LGBTQ, homosexuals remain around 2%. The other 8%ish prove that human sexuality isn't restricted to male-female missionary position or even doggystyle, which is the natural style. ;)

This is a bit over simplified but it seems that so much of what we do day in and day out as humans is in some way or another governed by our sexual self. While this makes us similar as humans, it is not necessarily the case that we condone the same behaviors or have overlapping norms from culture to culture. Thus, within this similarity there is still a great deal of diversity.
