Two men told police they were riding their bikes on Jan. 18, 2015, near the Stanford University Kappa Alpha fraternity house when they noticed Brock Turner on top of an unconscious woman behind a dumpster.
“We saw that she was not moving, while he was moving a lot. So we stopped and thought, ‘This is very strange,'”, said Carl-Fredrik Arndt. He added: “When he got up we saw that she still wasn’t moving at all, so we walked up and asked something like, ‘What are you doing?'”
Arndt said Turner started to run and graduate student Peter Jonsson went after him. The two men then pinned him down and held him until authorities arrived.
Turner was charged and found guilty of assault with the intent to commit rape, sexual penetration with a foreign object of an intoxicated person and sexual penetration with a foreign object of an unconscious person.
Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky sentenced Turner to six months in county jail and three years of probation.
