The historic Gretchen Whitmer kidnap plot case ended with no convictions Friday, delivering a blow to the government as it failed to convince a jury that four militia members were domestic terrorists determined to harm the governor because of her COVID-19 restrictions.

The jury declared two of those men not guilty, but deadlocked on the charges against the other two, who will be retried.

Defendant Daniel Harris — the only one who testified at the trial — was acquitted on all four counts, with the judge telling the 24-year-old Lake Orion man he would be free to go Friday afternoon.

"What the FBI did was unconscionable," Caserta's lawyer, Michael Hills, said outside the courthouse. He has long argued that his client and the others were entrapped by rogue FBI informants and agents, including one who ran a cybersecurity company while investigating the case.

A rogue FBI agent trying to line his own pockets with his own cybersecurity company, pushing a conspiracy that just never was, never was going to be. Our governor was never in any danger. And I think the jury — they didn't get all of it — but they smelled enough of it."

In the future in order to avoid these legal boondoggles the FBI should let people carry out the plan in order to make sure there's no doubt in court. Or even better the FBI should have sent Gretch to the bottom of Lake Michigan themselves.

The problem in our Blind Justice system is, all it takes is one politically motivated Malfeasant in a jury pool to deliberately hang a jury!

That is why there are appeal courts and re-trials!

Some jurists are potted plants!

Even some judges are known as potted plants!

In this politically incorrect world today- YOU CAN EXPECT THEY ARE THERE SOMEWHERE!

I look for a re-trial and you can bet these guys that got off are on WATCH LISTS and will soon commit crimes that will lead them to even more serious charges.

That is what happens to criminals that don't learn their lessons!

They just keep going until they eventually hang themselves.

The problem is innocent people end up dying in the process.

Joseph Morrison, Pete Musico and Paul Bellar are also facing charges in connection with the plot to kidnap Whitmer. There is a pretrial examination scheduled for August and a trial date set for September.
