#2 in ISIS taken out - and not one thread

Fact is, ISIS has lost a ton of territory & has been incredibly weakened over the past few years.

But all we hear about is the current admin's "failure" to even address ISIS or take them seriously.

It's all partisan nonsense. If Romney had won in '12, and things were exactly as they are now, the narrative would be that he brought the economy back & was winning the war against terrorism.

It's a big deal. But this isn't the first time we've seen #2 taken out. same thing for al-Qaeda.
This guy had roots all the way back to the mujahideen -so he has a following by himself and institutional experience as a jihadist.

It's possible the Kurds and the Iraqi army can throw them out of Mosul, and the country; working with the Iranians
and in Syria the Syrian army just re-took ...

I do think Russia coming in an cleaning up the various rebel forces has allowed Assad to go on the offensive -
and there is that hope for peace talks..

But it's along way to go,and it never should have gotten that far...still there is reason to be optimistic

Claims that top-ranking Jihadists are "taken out" are so frequent they are meaningless. They're like body counts in the Vietnam debacle.

Not one thread? Sure there is.

I agree with you and you want to ban me now?

you are an emotional cripple

I was immediately regretful. I really have to remember this. One of those things I should tie a string around my finger for.

I was going to suggest banning the Troll also, but he actually made a reasonable and truthful post for a change.....

Bush should never have gone into Iraq in the first place, I have always said that and never wavered from that opinion. However Obama caused the rise of Daesh by listening to all the Lefty rabble and pulled the troops far too early. He was far more concerned about honouring a campaign pledge than honouring all the dead soldiers in that war. Excuses like that's what the Iraqis wanted just doesn't wash as far as I am concerned, he should have just told them to go fuck themselves.

Unless you super gullible, you will thank Putin and Assad for beating back ISIS....the 'current admin's actions have been mostly failure.

That simply isn't true. The U.S. has been instrumental in slowly dismantling ISIS.

You're a hack, and you just believe everything that right-wing radio tells you - hook, line & sinker. Please don't talk to me about "gullible."

If Romney had been elected, certain domestic policymaking would be different, as would the focus on the battlefield, starting with Iraq. Also, his detractors, such as Rush, would still be bitching about how he's not conservative enough, because he's not reshaping the GOP into the Democrats under JFK...
