1m people threatened by failing dam.

The idiot and his BS could be Buckly, moon, Legion Troll, Zappa, or Rune...among others....
all of whom I normally block from my OP's ......sorry,..... I have a relapse occasionally.....:palm: and some levels of stupidity are hard to ignore.....

Billy has verified that Buck and Leon are using the same ISP.
They were both banned and both came back, at the same time.
He's tried to deny being banned; but all that did was expose him as being a liar.

I no longer respond to moon or Zappa; because they're both just one trick ponies.
Legion, The Dude, and signalmankenneth are on the Ignore Asshole list.
I only read Rune's post; because he said I was going to be his "special project"; but I'm feeling left out. :D

I would pit this forum's imbeciles against other site in the country.

Fear the Flood: Americans to Prepare for Possible Iraq Dam Collapse

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad issued a “security message” Monday announcing that the government of Iraq “is preparing to initiate emergency maintenance operations to reduce the risk of failure” to the Mosul Dam, the maintenance of which was interrupted in 2014 as the terror group ISIS temporarily took control of the gargantuan infrastructure project.

The alert said the U.S. didn’t have “specific information that indicates when a breach might occur, but out of an abundance of caution, [officials] would like to underscore that advanced preparation and contingency plans for prompt evacuation offers the most effective tool to ensure safety.”

For more than 30 years -- and through several periods of violent conflict -- the Iraqi government has managed to keep the dam upright by continuously pumping in literally tons of grout like an industrial version of the little Dutch boy, as a geotechnical expert who worked on the dam described it to ABC News in August 2014.

Sounds like it could go any minute.

We keep hearing different stories about when the assault on Mosul will begin.
Concerns include security so the Italian contractors can quickly undertake repair work on the dam.

Iraqi forces still several months away from being ready to mount assault to reclaim Mosul from Islamic State

It will take many more months to prepare Iraq’s still struggling military for a long-anticipated assault on Islamic State’s (IS) biggest stronghold in the country, the city of Mosul, US and Iraqi officials say – and it may not even be possible to retake it this year, despite repeated vows by Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi.

As the US and its allies furiously work to train thousands more troops for the daunting task of retaking Iraq’s second-largest city, IS fighters are launching a diversion campaign of bloody suicide attacks in Baghdad and elsewhere. Their aim is to force Iraq’s overburdened security forces to spread even thinner to protect the capital and other cities rather than prepare a fresh Mosul operation.

IS has stepped up insurgent-style attacks on Baghdad and other towns removed from frontline fighting. Over the past week a double bombing at a market in Baghdad’s Sadr city killed more than 70. The following day a suicide attack at a funeral north of Baghdad killed over 30. And yesterday, IS claimed responsibility for another suicide attack south of Baghdad that killed at least 47.

Iraq’s answer to that has been to plan to build a wall around the capital......

ISIL doesn't manufacture munitions. It doesn't have a manufacturing base of any description. It uses. It cannot sustain a war or maintain any civil infrastructure unless it is being supplied by outside agents.
Somebody is supplying it. The Russians point to the Turks. Turkey is a NATO member and so nobody listens.
Iraq is being betrayed by the same forces which , having once destroyed it, now purport to be helping it.
Arms dealers are laughing- and that is what it is all about.
