Eighteen top former Trump officials with national security duties are saying Trump did not have a policy to automatically declassify anything.
Several scoffed at the idea.
The claim that he did is beside the point anyway since 1) a president has no authority to bypass required procedures for declassification and 2) the warrant isn't about security violations but alleges
unlawful seizure and retention of government property.
