162,000 Jobs added in March

No - it was funny. I don't know if it was 3 threads worth of funny, but it was funny.

The repeat of 57 states is even funnier. In the Bush years, we lefties didn't have to rely on an old campaign gaffe; we had new material on a weekly, if not daily basis (except during the last couple of years, when he stayed away from unscripted press events as much as humanly possible).

you mean like Obama stays away from scripted events? Could be he learned his lesson and now relies even more on his beloved teleprompter?

The stimulus will no doubt add to GDP, only a GED would think otherwise. That said I blasted both presidents for bailing out the rich sailors around the Hamptons. They could have let more of wall street fail, given each tax payer 10 or 20,000 in a check. You'd have had a faster recovery and not the thieves hoarding by not making loans with the stimulus. Obama time this bullshit to help him get re-elected.

That depends. If you mean it will add to the GDP in the short term, you are correct. However, if the 'stimulus' is focused more on stop gap measures than long term solutions, then the GDP bump will simply be followed by a harsher decline later. The 'stimulus' only works for the period designed. (ie... stop gaps = short term; long term solutions = long term bump and less chance of pullback)

It is similar to the Bush tax cuts. Great for short term, but failure in the long term due to lack of spending cuts.

The fact of the matter is the current admin is on pace to raise our national debt by $10 trillion over the next decade. Our debt will approach the 90% of GDP. This is incredibly stupid on the part of the idiots in DC (both parties).

While an Obama supporter faultering all be it, you know if you paid attention I was against the stimulus and the HC bills.
That said, I am not going to pass a rising market out of spite. Not only do I agree with you that it's short term gain (couple years at best). I think the eventually day of reconing is going to be exponentially harder to deal with.:good4u:

If you believe this you are then voting solely for your own benefit and not for the benefit of the nation.

unlike most of you righties, I am vehemently anti war and pro cannabis. While I didn't vote for him he's better than the fossil.

I didn't vote Mcain won LA running away as predicted.
So you are saying that I was right. If you believe that his policies will have a negative effect causing worse troubles in the future after a short-term gain you plan to take advantage of you are then voting solely for personal gain and not because you want what is best for the nation.

On those points your right, but 1 didn't vote for him but still would have. I thought he'd be much less of a warhwack and much less of a hypocrite on pot use. So yeah, I'd pretty much describe his as a failure to me. The only huge thing he has done is somewhat reign in the ghestapo like DEA. But coming off Ashcroft, Errwin Rommel would have been an improvement.:gives:

LOL. I'll agree with you there.

I thought you did vote for Obama though. I was mistaken.

I as extreem socially liberal as you can get but have always been fiscally conservative.
There is no sound party for me. If the teabaggers adopted an anti-war, low tax, personal freedom spin I'd be in. To me they are a bad attempt by rich republicans to pose or start a grassroots movement ala Obam 2008.

I also agree that McCain was a terrible, terrible candidate.
