1619 project

How much of the day do Conservatives spend thinking about what's in a kid's pants? Because it's definitely not zero.

You'll shoot your eye out.

More likely an FBI sniper or just a good guy with a gun, will put a round through his chest as he goes down the street shooting Jews and black kids....if you believe he ever leaves his room. LOL

There is no such thing as a "good guy with a gun".

And Blacks and Jews have been shot up for the last 7 years and not once has a "good guy with a gun" saved them.

The fact of the matter is that your gun isn't about safety for you, it's about wish fulfillment and addiction. Specifically, the wish of being able to shoot someone and not face any kind of penalty for doing so. Which is fucking pathetic, by the way. And for addiction, it's the dopamine that gets released in your pea brains whenever you handle or fire them. Actual studies done that show the link between firing a gun and the chemical release in the brain. People with weak wills and minds get addicted to that rush, which is why the average gun owner owns more than one weapon.

If it was about safety, there are dozens of alternatives to a gun that can keep you safe...but your obsession with your gun has to do with your desires, not your needs. And I believe every gun owner is just looking for an excuse to kill someone because I think most gun owners are sociopaths.

It was a great book. I advise everyone to read it.

No doubt. As an amateur historian and student of psychology, history is full of man's brutality to fellow man so no description of the brutality of slavery would surprise me. What does catch my attention is the number of Americans who want to return to such a level of brutality.

Historical fiction.

QED. A Trumper who believes in White Supremacy and disregards everything not written by approved Euro-American males.

Terry is a self-proclaimed historian, so he likes to win all history arguments from authority.

But you haven't watched it...that's the point. So you're angry about something you know nothing about, because someone told you to be angry about it.

What a fucking loser.

No it was just as imiganied they blame whites but ignore it was GOP that passed all the Amendments that gave Blacks reedoms and rights

But you didn't watch it, so what you're saying here is bullshit.

You're too afraid to watch it and I'm not sure why? Is it because you identify more with the slaveowners than the abolitionists?

Why don't you identify with the John Brown's of the world instead of the Robert E. Lee's?

What do you care about this? If you feel guilt, that's you...that's not the 1619 project. You're just telling on yourself at this point.

I did watch it and was the usual Democrat racism and lies and not saying it was the Democrats that tried to stop blacks from freedoms and rights. It was Democrats that gave them Jim Crow laws. It was Democrats that voted against the 13th and 14th and 15th and 19th amendments

Completely incorrect, the 1619 project dedicates countless pages to the Democrats of the 1860's. So does the show. You're lying because you never watched it but you want people to think you did. That's why your criticism is so general and vague...and incorrect. The 1619 project correctly identifies the secessionist racist slaveholders as Democrats. But then it shows how those racists left the Democratic Party and joined the Republican one right when Civil Rights were getting passed. That's why it's Republicans who are defending the statues of racist Democrats from 160 years ago today, pervert. That's why it's Republicans who gutted the Voting Rights Act. That's why it's Republicans who gutted the Civil Rights Act. It's only been Republicans who have tried to roll back those civil rights, not Democrats.

You're an intellectually dishonest person. You know the truth, you're just being selective about it because you inexplicably identify with racist Conservative slaveholders and bigots and not the abolitionists who fought them and I can't figure out why. Why is it that you gravitate to racists and defend slaveholderrs and their legacy? The only explanation that makes any sense is that you share their beliefs. Do you? Do you share the beliefs of 1860's Democrats? If not, then why do you defend Conservatives today? Conservatives are today's racists, since they're the ones waving Nazi and Confederate flags and thinking of ways to justify staring at naked kids.

It was Democrats that gave them Jim Crow laws. It was Democrats that voted against the 13th and 14th and 15th and 19th amendments

The 1619 Project says all of this explicitly and outright. You're just choosing to stop at 1964...what happened then? Conservatives left the Democratic Party and joined the GOP, allied with the Christian Coalition and imposed trickle down economics, which is the worst economic system ever devised.

They showed nothing about who voted against the 13th and 14th and 15th and 19th amendments. They tried to downplay the racism of the Democrats

Who is really so fucking stupid that they don't realize times have changed from 1865? That the Democrats used to rule the South and now it's the Republicans? That since the 1964 CRA, it's the Republican which has turned racist to the point they nominated a white supremacist pedophile to become President in 2016?

Certainly most Christians understand the change.

The vote count is LITERALLY IN THE BOOK. There's an entire chapter about the 13th amendment! You would know this if you bothered to read the book and didn't just repeat what some internet moron loser told you. Worse yet, you just copied it and pasted it from someone else, didn't you?

Here's Penguin House's guide to help you if you're having trouble with the text because of too many big words and you need it broken down for you like a child: https://penguinrandomhousesecondary...11/The-1619-Project-K-12-Curriculum-Guide.pdf

Note how on Page 13 The 13th Amendment is ONE OF THE LITERAL TALKING POINTS.

Now match that up with the chapter in the book, and there you go.

Why is it that my niece, who is in 3rd Grade and is learning reading comprehension, can read a book and understand it but you cannot?
