The part about him escaping jail because he was rich?
Are you trying to be purposefully stupid?
He didn't "escape jail" you dimwit; he was SIXTEEN and sentenced to ten years probation with treatment. As the REAL story indicated, the jurist didn't let him "escape justice because he was rich", she indicated that if he were incarcerated, he would be out in two years only to risk more lives.
As for him being rich; he came from a very dysfunctional family and his parents wealth had nothing to do with his behavior as much as his lack of a normal family life which is typical of any juvenile criminal.
Again, for the mentally challenged, he didn't get away with anything and this was a tragic case of very ppor judgement by someone incapable of good judgment. That is the REAL story; not the made up nonsense in the Alternet suggesting that it is "priveledge" that keeps one out of jail. That's just stupid.
The alternet story says that his defense was that "his rich parents spoiled him," which is again confirmed by the Star Telegram story.
Another fool who thinks that purposeful omission is not misleading.
Well goody for you.
