Actually, we older people got away from that until Putin got power. As you can see he has regenerated the Russian scares, He attacked Ukraine with zero justification and quickly shut down the Russian press. He is controlling how people talk. They can not even call it a war without risking jail. I see cameras on the street talking to Russians as they walk by. They are terrified to say anything that sounds like they are not 100 percent for Putin's war. They say you have to be very careful about talking, you can wind up in jail. the Russian scare is back and Putin brought it.

We know that the pro-Russian Ukrainians who voted for him formed two breakaway regions in the Donbass.
We know that the US fed its puppet government with weapons and we know that that government , along with its neo-Nazi factions, shelled those breakaway regions for eight years.
We know that over 14,000 people died.
We know that the Russians supported the Donbass regions, enabling them to defend themselves, thus creating a US/Russia conflict within Ukraine.
We know that the Russians saw this escalating as more US and NATO weaponry was delivered and the attacks on the Donbass became more intense.
We know that the Russians sought to end the conflict by having NATO agree to guarantee their security by backing off from Ukraine
We know that NATO refused.

I went through my first divorce in 1985! It was the worst time of my life. I also experienced my first lay-off of my career just prior to that as the high-tech company I worked for filed for bankruptcy and laid-off all of it's employees. I lost my beautiful home and my new automobile as a result of my lay-off and divorce. My Grandmother and my father died two months apart in the middle of all this.

Should I blame Ronald Reagan just because he happened to be the president?
